More like Destiny 2.0 but yes something like the GOTY edition except the GOTY edition doesn't have new content.

So... will they ever be doing a Destiny 2? Or do we think they are going for more of an actual MMO model where they release an 'Expansion' every year but it includes the full game?

No. All they add is a coupe of new weapons and one raid and one strike, each like 5 mins of content that your repeat over and over.
But aparantly there are people outhere who dont seem to mind bending over and taking this abuse just because its bungy or they just love competive FPS's.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

I don't know for sure but I expect one full retail release per year plus 2 DLC expansions.
Destiny 1.0 - Retail
Destiny 1.1 - DLC The Dark Below
Destiny 1.2 - DLC House of Wolves
Destiny 2.0 - Retail The Taken King
It can be 1.5 too... I don't know.
But I expect an upgrade and cheaper path for these that already have up to 1.2.

New Area: Hive Ship
12 new missions
4 new strikes
1 new public event
1 new patrol
1 new raid
6 pvp maps
3 player guilds (factions?)
3 new subclasses (mentioned in the kotaku post)
Raises the base level to 30 (potentially new perks for existing classes.)
BTW the House of Wolves added over 40 news weapons...
So is this for Destiny as say, Warlords of Draenor is for Warcraft?
Not a small DLC pack but a fully blown expansion?

40 new weapons preety much mens nothing, just more grinding. Where you to find the best one at first then the other 39 are really pointless. They will just have you redo the same mission to try to get them.
What else did the house of wolves or even the dark below added?
Leaked content just sounds like rumor to me, so ill base it on previous exapansions for judgement and they so far have been subpar, completly not worth the $35 season pass price.

It can be bigger than previous dlc, but to put it at the same scale as warcraft is a little crazzy.
