I'm not in favor of it being announced before the game releases, even if the content is still WIP, but with that said small not mandatory (history) $1 dlc's don't bother me.

It's not like they're going totally crazy, i mean, imagine if they announced something like ''-in Etrian Oddysey 2 you'll wake up in a crossroad, you can pick right or left, the road you don't pick will be $40 DLC!!! -'' haha, now that would be crazy.

Or if after a few missions you had to pick white or black, and couldn't pick the other one without paying a bunch of money! That'd be crazy for sure.

... Haha now who would wanna rip you off like that??

On the bright side, it's not bad as Persona 4 arena where they'll sell you a pair of glasses or some voice-over for $3 each.

Ah fighting games, how much pointless DLC can we get the crazy fanboys to pay for instead of adding it to the base game as an unlockable like we used to

Microtrans in general just suck, even in the games I tend to enjoy like PS2.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Atlus is a great dev, though the sell games at a higher prices than most devs they still do a lot of shitty DLC.

While most pieces of DLC will be free for early adopters, it's still appalling that such DLC exists. Overall, pretty much everything sounds like regular quests, some of them will possibly have exclusive monsters/bosses/material drops which could make it impossible to complete the bestiary and item compendium 100% without purchasing DLC. Making people pay $2 each for content that can probably be completed in 10-20 minutes is a despicable thing to do, but it's in line with Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth which featured additional personas and navigators for such prices. It's a shame, because Atlus used to have a reputation of listening to their fanbase and adjusting gameplay features, balancing, difficulty etc. accordingly.

You forghet Shin Megami tensei IV, which also had DLC-quests.

Really don't like having to pay for so much DLC so I will probably have to pass up on this :/
