Well, it was very obvious, as I expected and try to explain in the previous thread.
A lot of wishful thinking created all sorts of scenarios, but it was only logical that Nintendo is not that suicidal to create an Android platform and abandon any serious plans for a serious gaming business.

Nikkei also claimed that a 3DS XL would exist which Nintendo denied, less than a month later the 3DS XL was announced.

Nikkei also claimed that Nintendo would developed smartphone games, will Nintendo once again was quickly to deny, just to announce their partnership with DeNA not long after.

If anything this proves the rumour is true.
