The thing is with Cuphead is I'm sure everyone is looking forward to it but it's kinda hard to pick it over the big AAA games that were in the poll for your most anticipated exclusive of next year.

My thoughts on Scalebound is even though the demo's they have used to show off it's gameplay haven't been the best I think it was more so a combination of bad demo's chosen/crap person playing the live demo. I have also yet to dislike any game developed by Platinum so I have some high hopes for the end product.... Also every time I saw FFXV at a live event I began to hate how it looks and had close to zero hopes of liking what the combat had become and in the end really enjoyed the game and was also impressed by the combat system. I feel Scalebound will have this effect also.

Makes sense Seas of Thieves got little votes and most people are still thinking wtf it is exactly even if they are somewhat hyped for it. Same with State of Decay 2 other than the reveal we haven't seen enough to pick it as the most anticipated of next year.

This could very well be true as well. I remember they showed some stupid co-op.. I think they just want to get the multiplayer crowd into this game, when it's a primary single player game. I'll still play it, but I'm honestly more excited for Nier :/

Damn my Halo Wars Definitive Edition theory is ruined :(

Deathtrap looks great and I like a good Tower Defence and it's a new release and I always like when they do that with GWG. I have KI season 2 but I guess I will upgrade to the ultra version now  and 2 platformers on BC that I don't own to join my infinite backlog.

We're planning to fund development of a game. As it stands, we're closer to the company that creates ideas and story and characters and whatnot like Mistwalker was. Instead, me and some allies have gathered enough money to fund development by well... Tamsoft, Atlus or bloody Game Arts. The thing with this will be we are using a "serious" or powerful engine to develop the game.

And it's not Shika's favorite UE but it isn't the same engine as Recore. In fact, it's the only engine comparable in power to Luminous...

So not Unreal 4 or Unity, but powerful. I'm guessing that means CryEngine 5, it's powerful, but essentially free (pay what you want).

Bingo. I wanted to drop one last tidbit on what we decided on Sunday's meeting. We met with a small team from the Complutense University of Madrid who gave us a showcase of UE4 and CryEngine 5 and we unanonimously stuck with the later. It also has a lot less overhead as seen in Ryse, which remains one of the better looking XONE games to date. We will have a final meeting on the 22 to finalize the details on how the game will pan out and then I will give you one list of what will be happening.

And CE won the presentation hands down...

Forza orion 3 sold more than 100k units on Germany. The second Microsoft exclusive to reach that point after Halo 5. It reached it in 9 weeks while it took Halo 18 weeks to reach it.

In UK, it is selling 73% more than Forza 6. It has a chance to be the best selling Microsoft exclusive on the Xbox One.

The Horizon brand really seems incredibly popular... I wonder why...

It will be on GWG I think, but only after Halo Wars 2 releases, they won't want to ruin their main preorder bonus for Halo Wars 2.

Yea probably still is but I can't see it arriving until later in the year now.

The Ultimate Halo Wars 2 Edition is seeming like great value though as it's like your getting the season pass half price + free Halo Wars Definitive Edition and it's one thing Xbox have excelled at this past year and managed to persuade someone like myself who hates digital to to buy their first party Ultimate editions digitally due to the great value they have offered.

I was going to make a thread about it but figured it would get trolled and shit on too much for any real discussion, but doesn't 2017 seem loaded for Xbox? So many huge third party games coming, and then you have big games we've been waiting a long time for like Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, etc. Plus smaller know stuff like State of Decay 2, the sequel to imho the most underrated game of last gen. Cuphead, Scalebound, loads of others. And of course the most powerful console ever is finally releasing. Wish it were coming sooner than November.

do it anyways

I really wish USF4 was BC already. That game needs to happen on the One!

I'm stuck saving for the UIR packs now I'm only up to 28k so far. I hope to get to 50k because it looks like most of those weapons are rare and I want the dropshot. But I'm a little worried. I was talking to some people who play Gears 4 really hard and they said that once you hit your 10th reup you don't get any more credits. This would pretty much kill my drive to get to the 10th re up.

They must be on about the 500 credits you get every 5 levels? Surely you will still get credits for completing matches or waves of horde, If not i'd be 100% certain it's a bug or oversight that will be fixed.

Yeah it is the 500 every 5 levels. Apparently there is this one guy who has tons of exp he doesn't get to cash in. If he could go on a normal progression he would have another 80-100k credits. But that is conservative or so I've been told.

Cry 5 is very impressive. Here is one of the latest indie games that is using Cry 5:

Looks like a AAA, yet it's being built on an indie budget. Very impressive engine I must say. Unreal 4 is very impressive too imo, but you have to pay 10% of your game's revenue in royalties to Epic Games, and that's just not a very good deal when CryEngine is pay what you want.

Sort of what we're aiming for, but our budget's borderline indie. With the Kickstarter starting in a few months with some luck, we might be looking at AA budget. One of the reasons we were convinced by the CE demo was the lightning. The demo resembled the FFXV trailers to some extent, but the game might look less detailed. Still, we're definitely aiming for HD resolution without compromises and thirty fps locked gameplay.

Sounding good :) Looking forward to hearing more about what you will have going on :)

Will post my GOTY votes closer to the new year as there is still a few games I'm hoping to play that could make the list.

GOTY shoudl be decided a year or 2 after lol as I'm always catching up and very liable to change my GOTY 6-12 months down the line :)

Edit:  Bugger it I'm going to work on writing up my list and edit it if I feel like something I play in the next 2 weeks beats it :)
