Anyone had any problems using disc for BC at all? I used my Mass Effect and Fable II discs when it was first avaliable and just inserted the disc and it started to download and install, I'm now trying to get my Fable III and Lost odyssey disc to work but nothign happens when I put them in. I dug out my actual 360 to try them and make sure the discs still work and they are fine.

One I put the disc in nothing happens and and a "Install disc" tile shows and nothing happens when you click it, Anyone got a suggestion?

funny, how no1 here is talking about the biggest gaming news this year:
http://wccftech.com/spencer-xbox-play-anywhere-doing-well-adoption-big-third-party-publishers-will-come/

CoD, Fifa / Madden, BF, next Red Dead, or whatever ohter games could possible become play anywhere titel and will be playable and sold on windows 10

216MB title update for gears of War 4

"We will have a title update available to address the hitching issues that players have been experiencing in game. This will help iron out any user still experiencing this that has not done any of the workarounds we posted about the other day.

This update is for Xbox One only. PC did not experience this issue.

Please make sure to download this to help correct this issue. "

I'm downloading this now and hopefully it removes the slight stutter at start at each match and the occasional one in the menu.

Edit: Played one game and there was no initial stutter or menu lag so thats good :)

I'm definitely skipping Friday the 13th, those death animations are quite disturbing.

What's wrong with the death animations?

Probably because we've known that since E3

We also already have two 3rd party games (The Ark Survival Evolved and Everspace)

It will probably be tough convincing the bigger 3rd party developers to do it though.

do we? this is news to me.
yes, small independent third party tites are on board. but the big publisher like EA, Ubisoft, 2k, Activision and Bethesda are the real news.

many people though they would never allow that, because they can't sell 2 copies that way. or ea with their own store on pc, would not give up the 30% cut

Well, I first have to see EA bringing their games to the Windows 10 store as play anywhere with XBO before I believe it exactly because of Origins.

One thing I never understood is why Activision doesn't sell their games through Battle.net

CoD as example doesn't do well on PC but if they would sell it on Battle.net I think it would do much better.

Well we know 3rd parties are allowed so it all comes down to if the bigger 3rd party publishers actually want to do it

Nothing in the quote suggests that the bigger 3rd party publishers are on board.

"I’d say some of the bigger traditional third party publishers, they want to see how this works out for us."

yeah. i just read the original interview.
"But the ID community has given us a good reception for Xbox Play Anywhere, and I think the third party big publisher adoption will happen in time"

maybe that article is not the best headline. a little misleading. sounds like a confirmation, but it's just phils thoughts about the programm and how the big 3rd party publisher will react to it.

sorry

It's fine

That article shouldn't have really said "Adoption by Big Third Party Publishers Will Come in Time"

i was already excited as hell. that is just my dream. this buy once, play everywhere is the best thing happen in recent gaming history. i buy one app and can use it on my iphone, ipad and apple tv.  that's the benefit you get with a big unified ecosystem. and i want that for my games libary, too

i will still play CS:GO on steam, because that is the only place i can play the game, but i embrace the approach by microsoft and will support that by buying an xbox play anywhere titel over pc only...

I not sure at least at the moment that the big third parties will go for play anywhere with the Windows 10/Xbox store but I have no doubt that we will be seeing third parties putting there PC version on a game on Windows 10 store as it just makes sense with its install base and how easy it is for anyone to click on the Xbox app in Windows 10 and they still have to pay the platform fees of 30% to Steam so paying the same to MS whilst and getting more exposure doesn't hurt them.

I think the only way we could get Play Anywhere across the board is if MS make a very big push for Xbox as a complete platform and that is how it seems to be going at the moment so maybe we could see this closer to or on the Scorpio release. Also if they did allow this you would see the digital rates go up a lot so it would probably be in big third parties interest to take a £49.99 digital Play Anywhere sale opposed to a £39.99 physical sale + 10 others buying it used and re selling etc. Doesn't look as good upfront profit wise buy in the long term killing of as much of the Used market will profit them.
