So when we spoke to Hello Games Sean Murray, the man responsible for creating No Man's Sky, we asked him and received a rather coy response for what we assumed was a very straightforward question.

In response Murray told us he wasn't sure what he was "actually allowed to say" at the time, noting that he needed to be "very specific with my words".

Before going any further though, Sony's rep stepped in to move the interview along, explaining that at this time there was nothing more to add.

HG owns the IP and published it, I am sure it will end up on Xbone eventually. Maybe by then it will be closer to what they promised.

I wouldn't touch NMS even if it was free to play. Watched some streams to know what the fuzz is about and seriously, it looks like the most boring game ever. Yuck 😝 "but you don't understand how big it is!" yeah how is that a good thing?

I never doubted that No Man's Sky will release on X1. Sony doesn't own the IP and Joe Danger also started as PS3 exclusive only to release later on 360.
It will come to X1 for the same reason Rocket League came. It's popular and will make a good amount of money.

Until then I hope to see some serious improvements before I would consider getting it. So I'm totally fine for it being an PS4/PC title at this point.
