So in my 5 bits of advice for Dark Souls 3 I mentioned purple spirits or Mad spirits as they're called. I haven't been able to experiment with them due to the servers not being online over here when I got the game on the 24th of last month but, now that are up...... I fucking love this Covenant. Being able to attack everything, luring in the host into thinking he can trust me and betraying him at the last second, this guy I led to a bunch of hard hitting enemies, waited for him to attack the big guy with the axe and then shot an arrow at him that made him stagger allowing the enemy to stomp him. This other guy I took through the whole map then before he entered the boss area I betrayed him, killed him with an arrow. This is the best thing in Ds3!

Ruthless af 😂. Better not treat fellow vgcharters the same.

My friend keeps telling me to get it. His last recommendation was Dragon Age. It was a very good game. I honestly buy too many games. If only because I'm usually playing Halo 5.

Bought Witcher 3, Rocket League, QB and The Division recently and haven't touched them all that much.

Pretending to own a console so you don't look biased running it down ..... Yeah sorry but the way you trash anything Ms/Xbox related on this site i don't believe for a second you own an xo. Whats your GT?

ROFLMAO, why would i lie about owning the console?

My account is AEGRO84

INB4 you try to downplay my achievements, this is a new account. I lost my X360 one.

I believe you since I've heard you speak out. I still remember how you loathed being unable to buy physical and having to stick with digital because there's a circus act running your government...

I don't downplay everything, so I won't downplay anything.

Why do you own a Console you constantly trash on here then? Kinda seems counter productive.

Criticism? You have no idea the number of times I've trashed the PSVita and PS3 and they are still sitting on my bookshelf.

Do i trash it senseless tho?

In my opinion, every negative aspect that i discuss about the console over here has its logical explanation.

In fact, ive praised its games numerous times.

I loved Quantum Break (I finished the game 100% last sunday), and i made a thread about how ROTTR was a masterpiece, but i think you missed it both of those.

In hard difficulty... showoff...

Now I feel compelled to download DSIII and do an speed playthrough to showoff too...

Pity I despise From Software since Enchanted Arms...

^Though it had gameplay issues, there's no denying that Fable Legends was a beautiful game. Honestly, it's the most beautiful game I've played to date on XB1, both the Unreal Engine 4 graphics and the art style were fantastic.

Not only that the audio was an amazing part of the experience for me.

I never got a chance to play fable legends :/

Well, since there's no longer an NDA, I can tell you all about my experience playing it.

As I said before, it was beautiful graphically and artistically, and they designed some pretty cool and unique characters for it. The writing on the missions was much what you'd expect from Fable as well, lots of British style comedy. You were grouped up with 3 other players and got sent into a mission against a 5th player. It was like a MOBA in alot of ways. Like a MOBA it was co-op focused. Like a MOBA, you started out with just a basic attack and 1 skill, and as you level up you unlock more of your characters skills. Like a MOBA, team composition was important, a good team needed 2 DPS, a tank, and a Healer. Gameplay as the villain was basically an RTS, you placed enemy units and traps with an overhead camera, and could occasionally launch a mortar attack. Strategy as the bad guy typically involved luring a hero into a trap where they'd be boxed in couldn't escape your mortar attack.

But, it had several issues. The missions were too long, they took a good 40 minutes to complete, so teammates would often quit outor go inactive before it was over, ruining your chances of winning. It took a good 10 minutes to unlock your character's 2nd skill, so for the first 10 minutes of the game you only had your basic attack and 1 skill which was kind of boring. There were balance issues. Because most of the story dialogue took place during combat, it was hard to concentrate on both the combat and the dialogue at the same time, so I missed most of the dialogue (Titanfall's MP based campaign had the same issue).

Honestly, I don't think Lionhead could have worked out all the issues even if they spent another year on it, so I can kind of understand why MS shut development down. What I find annoying though was MS shutting Lionhead themselves down. Why shut them down, they could have kept them and put them to work on a proper Fable 4 or Fable RPG reboot.

Dang that made me want to play it even more. Oddly enough i'm totally okay with 40+ minute matches.. sounds like it was amazing. What would you give it out of 10 from what you played?
