If I am not mistaken, Square Enix is not doing it because they hate the console, but because they are specifically waiting for FFXV's release AND DirectX12's rollout. The whole point is seeing if the players of their largest, genre busting, S ranked mammoth RPG and pet project warrant ports. Unlike Bamco, they'd rather try to release everything on as many platforms as they can fund. If FFXV sells close to what FFXIII (2.6 million lifetime in the 360, half the PS3 sales) then they'll start releasing games again. I do remember that the 360 itself was pretty much barren until Square Enix announced the deal to release the game on the console.

Odds are, if it sells 200,000+ on the XONE, companies will start mass porting later on...

I think there is a fairly decent JRPG fanbase on Xbox but they are only interested in quality JRPG's not the stupid moe fanservice games that try to call themselves JRPG's that plague modern times and even the PS4 hasn't really got a quality JRPG yet either. FFXV looks likely to be the first of the gen and thats 2.5 years+ into the gen which is sad :(

Thank you for finally saying things the way they really are. I agree with this. Heck, FFXIII sold the way it did for a reason. It's not that the Xbox crowd doesn't like them, but when the Xbox more often than not gets very high budget games and even the indies are comparable to something from a AAA studio (Ori and the Blind Forest), we expect JRPGs to match those games...

FFXV will rescue the genre from falling into fanservice and moe pandering... I am sure it will set a new standard...

It may set a new standard.... but I doubt games will follow that said standard since they already know a game with a 90% female cast with hand drawn cleavage images everywhere which also doubles as "plot" sell and for next to no development costs. I hope the JRPG genre can make its way back to the great it once was as since the Xbox 360 2007/2008 burst of them its been very very poor.(yes the best JRPG's were on a Xbox console not a PS surprisingly last gen)

Just a reminder for those who haven't got The Witcher 2 for free yet today is the last day to do so.

As for JRPGs on xbox, I just want persona 5 on xbox one..

Who all here is stoked for the release of The Division, that game looks amazing. I really want to get it, but at the same time I am worried to see how the game is, I really hope it lives up to the hype I am feeling right now.

The latest installment in the TrackMania franchise is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC March 22.

This looks a little like Rush 2049 I loved that game back in the Dreamcast days. Will surely give it a try when it's out.

YESSSS!!! Cel Damage finally coming! I've been waiting for this to happen ever since the Playstation versions were announced. I posted this in Xbox feedback around a year ago.

ULTIMATE EDITION - UPCOMING CHANGES

By TC Octus - 38 minutes ago

Hey there Gears fans! While the team is hard at work on Gears 4 as we prepare for the huge year ahead, we've also been continuing our support for Ultimate Edition behind the scenes - including a brand new Title Update in the works, and some small but impactful improvements to a couple of our modes. Read on for details!

CHANGES TO BLITZ AND EXECUTION

When Raven Down 24/7 arrives today as a Special Event, we'll also be deploying a couple of updates for Blitz and Execution that we've been testing here at The Coalition!

Execution
While we didn't want to mess with Execution's current settings too much in order to preserve it's competitive nature, we felt it was important to address the feedback from the Execution community seeking longer match times. From Friday's update, we'll be taking a small but potentially significant step in that direction - we'll be closely monitoring match times to decide if we should raise the limit further in the future.

Rounds To Win: 4 -> 5.

Blitz
We've been cooking up some new tweaks to Blitz to further build on the more frantic objective gameplay it currently offers, and it's ready to roll out today.

With this update, rings will now spend much less time in one location and DBNO players can get back into the fight faster. As an experience, it makes Blitz an even faster paced objective mode where you are rarely static - the fight constantly rotates around the map, and it provides a unique alternative to the more capture and hold experience of King of the Hill. We've also removed five maps from the mode that didn't work as well in the new format and upped the Rounds to Win to 2 based on positive feedback from the change to KOTH.

We've had some great fun testing this at the studio, and we look forward to your feedback on how the new Blitz feels!

Rounds to Win: 1 -> 2
Ring Timer: 70 -> 45
Self-Revive Time: 15 -> 10

Removed Bullet Marsh
Removed Courtyard
Removed Gold Rush
Removed Tyro Station
Removed Garden

NEW TITLE UPDATE COMING FOR ULTIMATE EDITION

We are currently putting together the final touches on a new Title Update for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition! While we can't discuss many of the specifics right now until the Title Update is locked and ready for deployment, we've been working on addressing some key fan feedback as part of this update - including making kills for Seriously count in both Social and Competitive.

Keep an eye on GearsofWar.com for full information on the new Title Update in the coming weeks, and let us know what you think of the latest updates in the official forums!

I really like the faster paced Blitz gamemode now with 2 rounds to win so potentially 3 rounds instea dof one which also means less loading times and waiting for games and the 5 maps removed should make it a lot more fun I agree with 4 of the 5 maps they removed as they were rather annoying but I will miss Tyro Station been on the Blitz rotation.

I've been playing KotH lately but it's annoying players drop out and in all the time. I will get back to Blitz now, two rounds to win sounds great!

Ok... The homefront beta..... Fucking atrocious... Im taking steam early access bad, this isnt a day one anymore, no fucking way.

Unravel EAA trail (the first two chapters) was GOTY contender good tho.

Just played it myself and have to agree. The shooting mechanics are awful. And unlike most CryEngine games, it's not even pretty to look at, graphics are quite mediocre.

I just saw some footage and it looks awful the gameplay is barebones as hell and the graphics look like shit, the Multiplayer looks worse than the original and that was the best thing about it. What a waste of a potentialy good IP the quality of the game took a nose dive since Deep Silver took it over and it doesn't surprise due to the problems that Dead Island 2 is facing.
