I think there will be enough people buying games at full price during launch. I'm very interested in Battlefront. I wouldn't want to wait 1 and a half years to play it. Same for Dragon Age if I already had the console back then. Also be sure that I'm going to buy Dragon Age at a later point in time because it's too good not to have in my (physical) collection.

As for yearly sport game releases, that could actually give them a reason to release them bi-yearly and do an update DLC every other year. Could increase the quality by quite a bit.

Edit: Looks like Xbox Store and Amazon and other retails have changed it back to 4th for a Tuesday release instead of the Friday 8th it went to after it was avaliable digitally.

Same happened for Halo MCC, got that 3 days early too. I'd highly recommend pre-ordering from ShopTo

Yea I almsot always use ShopTo and usualy get the game on Thursdays and occassionally on a Wednesday for Friday releases but I didn't actually pre-order Rare Replay :)

With Rare Replay going back to a Tuesday release I hope it happens for Gears of War Ultimate as well.

I have no idea what games you plan on playing but if you play Jet Force Gemini let me know how it controls. Its the game I want to play the most on the collection but Im worried they havent fixed the poorly aged controls.
