Multiple Insiders coming out saying that More Acquisitions are Coming, props to Klobrille for being the first person to break the news he even says that he has more info. Things are starting topicking up MS now has the same amount of studios as Sony when the Obsidian deal is done with 11 each and they are going for more, just hope that they keep going after Tier 1 studios (Playground,Ninja,Obsidian).

I think MS is buying too many studios. They should start investing this money instead to the ones they have now.

No Halo Infinite for X0. Which comes off as a bit disappointing, but makes sense as they probably want to put the Spotlight on Gears this time around, as it seemed to got sorta overshadowed at E3.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Acquisition budget doesn't come out of the Xbox budget, It's an entirely separate Microsoft budget. So for example, all purchases come out of a single acquisition budget, no matter Xbox, Windows, Apps, etc. It's just that Xbox division is allowed more into that budget now.

Oh ok that makes snese. But would the more studios means like less budget for each studios? If Xbox budget was like $100m for games and they had 2 studios it would be $50m per studio but if it were 10 studios it would be $10m per studio. Is that how it works?

Kinda disappointed in some of you xbots not playing FH4.

I've downloaded it, I just want to get through AC origins first. I just have a feeling ill get addicted to FH4 and I won't touch anything else for a while once I start. I did that with FH3.

Man I hope that Obsidian take on Perfect Dark they could reboot it and make it similar to Alpha Protocol and add RPG elements or even a Deus Ex like FPS RPG game.

Looking at what Grasshopper Manufacture has become in the last few years is really sad, from 140 employees to only 35 now. They would have been a good studio for MS right now if they were in their prime, Suda really knew how to design memorable characters and create fun games.

Forza Horizon 4 Sees Two Million Players in Its First Week

It has been one week since we launched Forza Horizon 4 and we are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive feedback we continue to receive from players around the world. We are proud to say that in this first week alone, there are currently two million players driving around Forza Horizon 4’s Britain. On behalf of everyone at Playground Games, thank you for supporting Forza Horizon 4 and making the game such a success!

With such incredible global engagement with Forza Horizon 4, the game is now the highest-rated Xbox exclusive of this generation* and Forza continues to be the best-selling racing franchise of this console generation**. We also want to share some fun stats with you from the community:

  • More than 4.6 million hours of Forza Horizon 4 gameplay have been watched across Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook as of Oct. 9***
  • Players have logged more than 822.7 million miles – that’s probably not covered under manufacturer warranty
  • The community has settled in quite nicely living the Horizon Life, purchasing more than 4.1 million properties and owning more than 74.4 million cars
  • More than 377.7 million roads discovered – you’ve been looking for miles and miles and miles…

To say this is an exciting time for everyone would be an understatement and as Ralph shared on Inside Xbox during Goodwood, there’s a lot more to look forward to in the next few weeks including our biggest fan requested feature – Route Creator, coming on Oct. 25.

Forza Horizon 4 is now available with Xbox Game Pass and globally on Xbox One and Windows 10. Xbox Game Pass members can start playing Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition on Xbox One and Windows 10, as part of their monthly membership. The membership includes over 100 more great games, including highly anticipated new Xbox exclusives the day they’re released, all for one low monthly price.

Be sure to follow @WeArePlayground and @ForzaMotorsport for regular updates, and @XboxGamePass on Twitter and Instagram for upcoming news and more games being added all the time.

That's not as much as I was expecting first week. That's the same as State of Decay 2's 2 week player count. Was expecting more like 3m for FH4 first week, since FH3 has managed 10m+ lifetime. But I guess MS did choose to release it the same week as AC Odyssey, I'm sure I'm not the only one that decided to play AC Odyssey first. Legs should still be good, I'm sure it will eventually pass FH3's 10m+ figure.

Whilst AC Odyssey would of took sales away from FH I think launching with Fifa would be the bigger hit over here in Europe, Those who plan to play on GamePass would of been in no rush whislt playing Fifa and AC knowing it's always going to be there when they finish up the other games and buying all 3 or even 2 of them at the same time is a big upfront cost most would split up.

It's hard to compare to SoD2 players as that launched at half the price and it's a more popular genre in Xbox's strongest market where as FH4 is double the price and racing is strong is a weaker Xbox market. 2m is good for 1 week and FH4 will have massive legs and some strong sales over the next few months to boot.

Cargo runs have been added to SoT in the latest update.
