The Initiative have full freedom on what they want to work on, I hope that it is a new IP myself.

So as of Right now Rare is at least at 220 devs, and have at least 70-80 working on their new IP/s? They currently have 17 job openings on their career page.

So I bought Forza Horizon 3 on the sale. My first Forza purchase this gen.

Game looks incredible on the Scorpio. I’m amazed at how good it looks.

Forza gifs look amazing.

I'm almost done with Quantum Break. Bought it at release and it got piled into my backlog. This is a really good game. The story is cool and since the TV shows stayed on point so those didn't bother me at all. I love the story that Remedy tells and the way they went about time travel.

Really hate that the main thing I remember being discussed was the 720p. As if it was unplayable. Well early in the gen. it seemed like no game under the PS4s graphics were playable. The hate that MS games get and are still getting is ridiculous. Totally ridiculous.

220 devs. 115 working on Sea of Thieves. 105 working on their 2 other new ips.

Sorry 720p is unacceptable. Can't stand to play anything under 4k

Espada's numbers are correct their is 150 supporting SoT post launch content leading around 70 on the new IP with Rare still staffing up more for it.

From Kotaku interview

Schreier: How many people are on the team?

Neate: It’s a good question, probably about 150 in total I think, or something? But the actual investment in terms of engineering, design, VFX and stuff, because we’re all-in on delivering content to players. That’s our mantra. We’ve currently got three teams—Hungering Deep, Cursed Sails, Forsaken Shores. We’re spinning up a fourth team so that we can get into this rhythm of four teams leapfrogging each other over time. "

Rare is in it long term for Sea of Thieves, going to be interesting to see how different the game is in 1 year. Around 100 working on the new IP sounds good, just hope that it's a more traditional game.

Yup. Quantum Break is a great game.

Bolded: The resolution was mostly an issue in the very beginning of this gen because XB1 was more expensive but at the same time weaker than PS4. And I don't think it made it any better that Microsoft tried to save face by talking about the cloud closing the gap. That only led to continuous attention about the matter.

Later on, the resolution was often mentioned along with other information about an upcoming game but I wouldn't say that MS games got hate unless you were actively looking for it. In that case, you'll be able to find haters of everything online.

You say that MS games still get hate. What do you mean by that? The general consensus is that Microsoft had the best E3 conference a week ago and the games they showed had a huge say in this. When Microsoft releases great games, they receive praise. Just look at Forza Horizon, Ori and KI Season 3. Halo MCC got an 85 on metacritic. According to many Halo fans that score is too high. Sure, some of their latest attempts at GaaS (Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2) have seen a mixed reception but I wouldn't say MS games generally get hate.
