Did anyone else got a message from MS with a code for a free month of Game Pass?

I got one that said "looks like you had some trouble with xbox game pass. We'd like to make it up to you. Enjoy 30 days of gamepass for free" but i havent subscribed to gamepass for months.

No, but I did get an e-mail for playing Gears of War 4 with a code before, even though I've never played that game before, I don't even own it.

Nice addition, I can final start my replay of Origins+2 before going onto Inquisition now  when I can find the time for them :)

No, but MS did allow me to resub to Game Pass for $1, when I already took advantage of a $1 sub promotion previously.

I also had the option to resub for 1E even though i used it previously but now that i used the free code they sent me it went back to 9,99E.

It’s possible that the multiplayer spinoff for halo isn’t what we think. I think it’s possible that it’s halo 6 versus in 2018 and Hali 6 campaign in 2019 couple reasons why I think this is possible-

- if halo spinoff is 2018 and Halo 6 campaign is 2019 than it will fragment the community.

- 343 has yet to ship a feature complete game in 3 years. All of a sudden they are supposed to ship 2 in a 4-5 year period? I know they staffed up but I still doubt it.

- multiplayer for 6 should be completable in 3 years. Campaign obviously needs more time.

- works better for gamepass. Have the mp release in December(away from rdr2) for 40$. Pump dlc all the way till the campaign is released for 30-40$(Alternatively u can buy both for 60 at this point) doing this would help their lineup for each year.

Under no circumstances should they release the next Halo separate. None. If this is what you're saying. Kind of confusing to me a little.

E3 has crept up quickly again.

So many positive rumours coming out of the MS camp. I am inclined to believe there is a major push back towards content (which would play well on the brilliant infrastructure and OS MS has set up).

But I tend to believe its more target at the next gen/Xbox One X.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I have learned to expect exactly nothing from E3, and really, when you read all the current rumors and such, they confirm that MS will once again have an underwhelming conference. All these articles about MS increasing the budget for the gaming division, but it's going to take time to see the fruits of their labor, and so on. One doesn't exactly have to be an expert at reading between the lines there.

They're leaking out enough so people can write puff pieces about how there's hope moving forward, while simultaneously making sure we know the goalpost is planted firmly down the street, and it's gonna be a long drive.

Never said they should.... only that they could. But it absolutely makes sense if both 1) the mp is ready and done 6 months+ before campaign and 2) If gamepass is priority over all.

You know what makes even less sense. Dividing your multiplayer community with a “halo online spinoff” in holiday 2018 and halo 6 in holiday 2019.  Some people think this is happening.... it’s not. If their is a PvP spin-off this year halo 6 is a 2020 title or later.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Ya this renewed investment from ms is awesome but don’t expect new big exclusives besides halo, gears n forza. It’s too early for that. This increased investment could mean this for e3:
- more push for gamepass. moneyhatting day and date GP launch on bigger 3p games.
- marketing rights to big titles
- new studio or acquisitions announced.

For games from ms or 2nd party i expect at e3
- either halo spinoff or halo 6
- gears spinoff
- Forza Horizon 4
- ori 2
- age of empire 4
- indies
Anything more and I’ll be pleasantly surprised. Mojang could have something but I doubt it and 2nd party is hard to guess at... electric squares cartoony racer, or dead rising(ugh).

A French gaming site is hearing from multiple sources that Nier: Automata is coming to XB1.

That would be great
