Blaming Sony for stuff out of their direct control is the province of knuckledraggers in YouTube and Facebook comments. Might as well start demanding Sony to quit releasing indies and work on more AAA titles, or to make PSNow work on shitty internet.

There were people complaining that Sony was releasing too much indies.

He does bring up a valid point, most games tend to run a bit more stale, even at lower resolutions on the Xbox One.

Except that there are games with worse performance and lower resolution. And res being on gpu and fps on cpu says that a lot of times dropping res don't solve fps.

Stopped listening around 2mins. The guy doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. He says the X1 version runs at 1080p and scales down when it needs to to maintain a good frame rate. We know this is false. He also says the X1 version has a more consistent frame-rate. That's just false.

The bolded is actually true. As of patch 1.03, the XBox One version now runs locked at 30fps with few minor drops here and there, while the PS4 version, even though it was improved quite a bit with that patch, still has quite a bit of stuttering and frame drops under 30.

Why would anyone blame Sony for that? It's not their choice what resolutions third parties target, nor, as Tachi has said, do that even make a suggestion. What makes such finger pointing even sillier is that most of Sony's own games run fine at 1080p, while simultaneously offering some of the best visuals available on the PS4.

Regardless, the statement "[x] isn't Great At Handling 1080p" is in itself silly. It's what you're doing at that resolution that matters, not the resolution itself. That the PS3, 360, and WiiU all have a handful of 1080p/60fps titles should make that simple enough for people to understand.

I see. I wasn't aware they introduced an fps cap for the X1 version in this update.

From what I understand, most frame rate drops on the ps4 version of witcher 3 occur during cutscenes. I imagine this shouldn't be too big a deal as long as they stay out of the gameplay moments.
