Forums - Microsoft - What I think the Microsoft E3 Press Conference schedule will be.

I doubt that the Hololens/PC part will play such a large, if any role.

Well, you'd hope they have learnt their lesson.

But when it comes to PC, a lot of people do want to hear that - just not the console crowd.

If they are going to show Hololens at all, they'll need to give it enough time for it to be convincing (assuming it can be concinving).

Really? I believe Hololens and Windows 10 are very important to them, so they are going to spend some time showing them. In a tweet Spencer said that Microsoft press conference would't be just about Hololens, which makes me think that is going to play a great role.

I don't see why they'd show HoloLens until its set in stone as an Xbox accessory

Because Spencer said in a tweet that it will be shown.

Sure but is E3 really the right event to spent that much time into this kind of stuff?

They showed basically everything already at their own event back in January. There might be a 3min trailer (again) or 5min stage demo (again) of what HoloLens is able to do for gaming and a minute where they talk about the games that are available at the Windows 10 launch.
But is anybody really expecting another Windows 10 walkthrough?

I think people are already expecting way too much of Microsoft's E3.

Don't get me wrong, I want all the weird and wonderful predictions to come true, but realistically I think we'll get two or three new announcements comprising new and old IP.

Yeah I cannot see either company wanting to splash out on announcements, just for the fact that MS now realises that blowing all at E3 is not the best approach. Sony have tried in previous years to spread across other events. I think E3 will only have 1 or 2 major new IP's if that.

MS did early announce a lot of things, so this year has to be about gameplay of those announcements.

I can't really say what are they actually going to show regarding Hololens and Windows 10, but they usually spend a lot of time just talking about features. Maybe they are going to show a live demo like Sony did with Wonderbook. And we all know how much time they spent on that ;)
