Forums - Nintendo - Youtube teams up with Nintendo to test new Multicam Functionality on Splatoon

YouTube is testing out camera-changing tech on the popular video streaming service. The company recently teamed up with Nintendo and some prominent YouTubers to demo the super colourful action packed, Splatoon. YouTube’s new multicam functionality allows viewers to swap angles from player to player and even team to team at any point during the match, all in sync.

Good job! They've really learned their lesson(s)! If they had applied all these tactics from the beginning (and made some better design choices), their current outlooks would be completely different.
This bodes very well for Nintendo and I hope they keep up this amazing work!

this seems cool but the switches between cameras can be smoothed out some tho

Nice partnership!

Nice! I hope this means future Nintendo console lets us stream our video game session to our friends and family more easily!

Takes too long to load each camera angle...the only way I could see this working is if they streamed all angles simultaneously to allow smooth transitions but I don't see that as being realistic

Yeah it's basically just a link to take you to another video atm, with that timestamp. It needs to be almost instantaneous for this to be good.

Maybe this is a sign for voice chat to be patch in later :)

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games
