Cmon IGN, random youtubers are your industry insiders now? There's maybe a few game franchises worth "billions of dorraz", a select few like CoD, Fifa, BF, Skylanders, GTA etc. Not even the top "horror" franchise Resident Evil is close to being worth that. Silent Hill is a double digit million franchise.

They never once said dollars. It could be yens you know. The source is credible. It isn't like the anonymous source is some random youtube comment.

The IGN article says dorraz. Why would a random american youtuber have Japanese insider sources LOL.

If the game was 80%, they wouldn't cancel it after having pumped that much money in to it. We would have heard much sooner of the game's existence and seen much more of it. No game gets to 80% and fail to show us a single trailer, certainly not Japanese who announce things way too early when development hasn't been started. Development on Silent Hills didn't even start, Kojima is finishing MGS5, Del Toro is finishing his movie.

Accept reality, it's nice to live in dream land and hope for the best, if only this rumor sounded credible enough.

You do realize that the fact that he guessed this in early 2013 only makes it more apparent that he was just throwing a guess out there and ended up being lucky? Why in the world would MS have a plan for unbundling the kinect half a year after launch in place back in early 2013?

XOne did not exist early 2013. It was revealed end of May. And the moment it was revealed, everybody knew that Kinect would be gone within a year.

Oh and btw, why would Norman Reedus tweet things like this, if the project was being bought by MS?

Lol wow, quite a valid point. Early 2013 the Xbox1 wasn't even out and MS were pushing Kinect bigtime all the way til about early 2014.

The only prop you need, mgs5 is being finished by Kojima before he leaves, if silent hills was anywhere close to being finished he would do the same.

There is possibility this can be real thing, and there is a connection why Kojima leaving Konami, Kojima has been a long supporter for PS Platform, and possibly Silent Hill money hated and change the contract to Xbox one and lead some chaos in Konami. Or maybe if it's true they scrap the idea when it was still on PT and redesign it and get a new contract with Microsoft, and this new Sillent Hill is the one that approved by Konami management.
