I thought legend11 was a 360 fanboy not a ps3 fanboy

I think their is less Sony/PS3 hate running around in general, which has helped the atmosphere of the forum immensely.

So OK, maybe i didn't remember correctly what fan Legend is, but one thing is for sure, which is that he actually have changed his attitude a lot. I do remember him being one of the most delusional, trolling users. But he's not anymore (atleast not by his posts that i've been reading lately). The first post wasn't meant to name any individuals, i was just giving examples of people who i think have changed their attitude to a more positive direction for all of us. It was about the fanboys in general and how different they are these days that they used to be. And about the Xbots, year ago, to where i mostly made my comparision, people were sometimes wondering why we don't have Xbox fans. We did, they just weren't so "noisy" and mostly remained at the level of objectiveness. As i gave an example of "Xbots supporting Wii fans", which can be considered as a proof of somekind about objectiveness. But if things are viewed as "if your not on side, you're against us", the neutral and objective people are seen as being against or on your side. @Auron: I think you should read it anyway, since i think i made pretty reasonable post with facts.

For one thing I don't consider myself a fanboy nor do any that own a PS3 or other console for that matter. So speaking objectivly in the manner you were proves that you are the narrow minded one seeing in black and white. Anyone rational including the people you listed (except Legend; he doesn't have a PS3) realizes that the PS3 really doesn't have a chance of overtaking the Wii. What is very possible is the reality of over-taking the 360 within a relativly short peiod of time. I would have to say that the fight was always mainly against the 360 and when the Wii launched we basically counted our losses and moved on. If you were really giving credit you wouldn't have spent 90% of the paragraph talking about "PS3 fanboys...making a dozen ranting threads full of false facts." Are you kidding; "false facts"! Those two words make you a moron. Nice job

I find it a little funny that people would think that I'm some kind of delusional fanboy. The truth is that I'm right almost all the time. In fact in the hundreds of debates, arguments, etc, I've been involved in I can only think of 3 times that I was wrong and in 2 of those cases I actually chose to be deliberately wrong to prove a point.

Want some examples of me being right? No problem...

Numerous Wii fanboys saying Wii third party software domination of major big budget third party franchises was going to start at E3 07. I told them they were wrong and obviously I was correct. Then they said it would happen by the end of 2007 and again I told them they were wrong. Of course I got ridiculed and bashed but guess what, I was right again. Now they're saying it's going to happen at E3 08 and I'm saying right now, on the record, that they're going to be wrong again.

Then there are some PS3 fanboys who somehow got it into their heads that the PS3 is a software beast. They point out minor games to prove their point and when I bring up Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, Madden 08, and Guitar Hero 3, you know the big games, they're just full of excuses. Well I'm saying right here right now that the 360's version of Grand Theft Auto 4 is going to soundly outsell the PS3 version. And by soundly I mean at least 1 million more but I really expect it will be larger than that.

So anyways remember this post and remember all the fanboys who got into arguments with me about these two topics. And we'll find out who is really delusional in a few months. And don't worry I won't rub people's faces in it because I tried it once and people just got pissed at me.

Anyways that's all I have to say.

As a huge PS3 Fanboy, I have come to accept the following:

1. There will always be threads of PS3 is doomed and other such BS.

2. There was a HUGE amount of FUD spread about the PS3 in 07 and the reason why there was such a backlash against the FUD. Plain and simple.

3. Countless minions would point and laugh at the inferior ports of early games and believed to themselves that it was because the machine couldn't do it. Thankfully, MP games like COD4, DMC4, and Burnout along with Sony 1st party titles squashed that way of thinking.

4. If the 360 failure rate wasn't so well known, I may have been a 360 fanboy .*gasp*

5. The PS3 is not in competition with the wii. The only thing they have in common is a launch date and they are targeted to 2 very different demographics. The wii maybe its own generation, but to me next gen means HD. *opinion*

I come hear to read the forums and people's opinions because I enjoy it. But to me, people who rely on sales information to make themselves feel better about there choice of purchase is quite frankly sad. Even more sad are the people who use 'their sales'(which they contributed 1 toward) to mock or try to put down another choice based on sales numbers. L O L

Gamers used to be 1 unit, this gen has fragmented it like there are different versions of rock music. Alt, indie, pop, metal, death metal, grunge = casual, hardcore, niche..blah blah blah.

My question to the OP is, Are you so sure its not wii and 360 crowd who have  changed from denial to acceptance that the PS3 is a viable gaming console?

i'm sory but saying that a console with 11 million userbase in NA is going to outsell another one with maybe 5 million is not a prediction.
