yeah, but at the same time it means Sony will be in the same situation they are now next year, in which they dont have any big games for the holiday unless they announce some really good games for next year, (God of War 4, GT7 and Horizon comes to mind, although i dont want to wait so much for Horizon, i wish i could play it before june of next year).

Considering this game was schedued for 2015, I'm pretty sure sony were banking on other titles covering holiday 2016.

Don't know why everyone expected a year long delay when this is sonys biggest game and this Naughty Dog we're talking about. They haven't eluded to anything more then the game needing an extra round of polish. I wouldn't be surprise if it get pushed to May/June, but thats the latest I expected it.
