Hello, I'm French and I thought GTA IV would explose records in WW but I see a lot of people don't think it will be very sold ...

It's strange : I saw something which says it will be the most sold in 2008 ...


So I've a question: why do you think GTA IV will not be well sold ?

Personaly I think it's possible : Halo 3 makes 7.5 millions in 6 months with 17.5 millions consoles .

So in 6 months , why do you thnik GTA IV can't make 9 millions with 30-32 millions (PS3 + 360 in 29 April )

Patcher is full of shit. Back in 2005, he said Revolution (remember those days! ) would have a 22% market share and PS3 would have 40%ish market share with Xbox 360 having the rest.

Today, Wii has 44% market share. He can go fuck himself.

 Except back around that time just about everybody in the world who wasn't a Nintendo fanboy agreed with him. Even those people who "saw the Wii coming" didn't think it would be as big as it is. He's actually one of the more accurate analysts (~60-65% success rate) out there, sad as that is.

There is hardly any hype for this game.....9 million by Jan 2009 sounds REASONABLE.....

They gotta make for trailers with fat ladies saying: WahaHAhahaha! LOL That's in the most recent trailer....

Janco Partners' Mike Hickey said that Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV would likely sell 5.8 million units in its first week. Is a April fool joke =)

Michael Pachter is the same analysts that predicted that GTA IV was going to be delayed because of the PS3 (mainly). And right now his predicting that GTA IV will sell around 9 million units in Take-Two's first fiscal year (October 31).

Great news for GTA fans!

I don't see a problem with 9mil, Halo3 sold over 8mil to retail before christmas. GTA is selling to alot more consoles and the series is more popular then Halo.
