No. The game's art style is visually unappealing to me. It's too kiddish and brightly colored for my tastes. I know I don't have a Wii U, but even if I did, I don't like the game itself. Regardless of my ownership status of the console.

I dont think you are following me. Unless there is something about Amiibo I am misundestanding.  But Amiibos work like an unlock key, no?

The content which you unlock with Amiibo is in the game already. Take Amiibo out of the equation and what you have is content that is on the disc you pay for, but behind a paywall (this paywall just happens to be Amiibo but that doesnt change what it is). 

Whether its amiibo, or whether its just an unlock code off the eshop: nothing is changing the fact that the content on the disc is locked away from you without an additional purchase. 

And I dont support that. 


I see where you're coming from, but its not like there is a huge amount of content, there's enough to make it value for money, but you do know that the gameplay is only the single-player missions with different weapons, with costume unlocks? Those aren't really integeral to the game. Plus, you get a cool figurine as well.

Nintendo has done a good work so far which advertise Splatoon


So I hope next time they will do that with the other games on WiiU in the future

Depends of the game, Splatoon is Nintendo new big IP, that's why they pushing it so much.

Do you know what amiibo gives you?

You have to repeat the same levels but with a different weapon and you unlock some clothes and an 8 bit minigame...

woooow Evil Nintendo, giving us 50% of the game on disc and 50% on the amiibo.

Currently my most wanted game that releases this year on the console, however, I am not taking any chances so I'll decide after E3 or after the next direct 2 months after E3. (August-ish.).
