Fire Emblem If: More Details and Info!

Stolen from gaf....

Some interesting parts:

Interestingly, Javelins and similar ranged weapons (such as Hand Axes, most likely, and not naturally ranged weapons like Tomes or Hidden Weapons) can no longer double attack

It seems that the classes available largely depend on the campaign chosen. So in Nohr, you will typically see more characters in familiar classes, like Cavaliers. While in Hoshido, most of the characters are in Japanese-themed classes, like Samurais.

But unlike the female-only Pegasus Knights of yore, these Pegasus Warriors can be male or female. After promoting, they can wield Bows in addition to Lances.

No more double attacks from Javelins?

Huh, odd, but ok.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I wonder IF we will get a release date at E3 for US

Interesting. I just hope they add an option where you can cancel the second attack in a retaliation or a counter attack all together. Would make the game a little easier though, but I think it would be interesting to see what strategies players could use by tricking the the computer into using weaker units as shields.

This game will probably cause me to make up new strategies from scratch. So many minor changes that add up making it impossible to use old tactics.

Not really happy about all these changes I'm hearing but, of course, I can't really say since I have yet to play this game.

Makes the game sound better than I anticipated.

Attack Stance and Guard Stance having an activation rate of 100% gets rid of the randomness in Awakening while still keeping the Dual system.

The change in weapon properties could offset the infinite uses for the weapons. Powerful weapons could limit you to single attacks.

Hopefully there won't be infinite reclassing like in Awakening.

Thats what the split is about, Hoshido/Nohr. Hoshido will play like Awakening, so its structure. Easy EXP gain + Reclassing/etc. Thats why aside from the main game (chapters) there will be a map like Awakening and will have side chapters. (we dont know how much or how it will compare to that of awakening, especially since Awakening had the Future Kids Mechanics and "IF" will not).

As for Nohr (Black Version) it'll play like Classic FE in which there wont be gaining EXP as an easy experience, so like past games if you dont switch around characters you can get ****ed because there is no way to say "hey, let me level him/her up via side/extra chapter".

Thats why im really predicting Nohr version to be alot longer than Hoshido's game (main Story Chapters).

What information upsets you?

Crazy how this gets released in a month in Japan, yet we have to wait until next year so it can see the light of the day.
