You weren't the only saying this.
DQ VIII being remade for 3DS and DQ X still not being on PS3/4 (though that could be a contractual thing) kinda goes against it though. On the other hand they've already announced a second Dragon Quest Heroes, so they seem to be happy with its performance and SE as a whole is extremely obviously putting a lot of eggs into the PS4 basket this gen (the eastern studios at least), so it would in a way make sense to put DQ XI on PS4 especially if Horii wants to make the next game for home consoles.
Certainly hope it'll be a PS4 game. A new classic DQ on the big screen? Sign me up for that. As a PS4 game the probability of it coming to the west would also be significantly larger.
Better be on both consoles then. it can't be hard to make the same cartoonish game work on both.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see DQ11 on both 3DS and PS4. However, I think it will be PS4 exclusive so that they can boost sales of the console in Japan for future titles.

Definitely makes sense, im soooo surprised but not really SE never localized DQVII to the west, and they probably wont do DQVIII neither. Well E3 is almost here, maybe they'll..... nahhh they wont.

Except the next DQ game is on home consoles so I'm not sure why you're mentioning 3DS. Also duckroll isn't saying it's entirely mistranslated, just that it's just PR talk and he's been saying something like this since DQX.
