Forums - Nintendo - What game(s) should Nintendo remake for the Wii U?

This.

And if it really had to be, I'd say Bataillion Wars. Would probably work great with the Gamepad, too

Totally agree with you... online co-op would be a great addition (1 player as a general, the others as troops), or a new game in that series... going back to original question... very few and hand picked games should be remastered, and only from the Gamecube generation or older, beyond 1 or 2 I don't see a reason to do it.

"Eternal Darkness"... I've been playing this on my GCN (via component cables) and it's still fantastic. Graphically, it hasn't aged as well as titles like "Prime", "Sunshine", and "Double Dash", which look excellent in 480p.

A spit shine on this game - releasing a few months before or after "Devil's Third", would do wonders for us Ninty fans who love their core titles, but also enjoy when they dabble in Mature-rated publishing.

Securing an exclusive REmake of Resident Evil 0, wouldn't be a bad idea, either - if Nintendo changed their attitude towards ponying up some dough to give developers some incentive.

There's only one remake, so I don't see why not just 1 more.
I would go with Eternal Darkness and.....FFVII.

C'mon. Time for Final Fantasy to join Ninty home consoles back.

I agree with you on Eternal Darkness but FFVII...meh. Give me a proper re-make of FFVI or Chrono Trigger.

Isn't that what it would be?

For me it would be Pilotwings 64 but clearly it would need massive updating as well as upping the resolution. New content, new modes etc but a subset of the game could be the original game. I'd love an online dogfighting game in WW1 biplanes with Yoshi, Mario etc.

Batallion wars would be good!

So Sin and Punishment and Batallion Wars for me. Mostly because of new controls. Wii pointer for Sin and Punishment. Gamepad for Batallion wars, maybe even a Remote + Game pad touch screen like in Pikmin 3.

- Super Mario RPG
- Final Fantasy VI
- Secret of Mana

One Wario Ware game with mini-games from all of the previous titles. It should take advantage of the touchpad, but not include the mini-games that use motion-controls.

F-zero GX and Twilight Princess HD. Especially Twilight Princess to hold over Zelda fans this year since Zelda U won't be releasing.

i feel that its a bit too early in my opinion. Although it was released at the start of last generation it still is a last generation game, and if a remake were to be developed I think it should be for their next console.

As for remakes to be done, I think Sunshine HD would really solidify the Wii U in-terms of 3D-platformers, plus would look great to boot!

Not if they remake the Gamecube version

Super Mario Sunshine is the most obvious choice.

Wait. Some Fire Emblem remakes would slay.

I'd really like a Luigi's Mansion remake, I've always wanted to play it but never could. Mario Sunshine would be great too.
