Still one of my favorite Wii U games.

We've seen plenty of things this gen that can make it seem like the wii u or a game on it looks like it's doing well. The only consistent thing about them is the wii u's ability to disappoint despite these signs again and again. That'S why I'll wait for confirmation before celebrating anything about the wii u lol 

I'd eat crows for underestimating its possible sales potential but I'm too busy staring at this from your post...

Just wanted to say Splatoon is definitely different from those games your talking about.

That said, your right for waiting but its really, really looking like this game is off to a good start, especially that this game marketing is something Nintendo is actually trying with. Splatoon's Shipment in japan already exceed every WiiU game FW Shipment aside from i think 5 games.

Ironically Shipment #s we knw of were #s from a week before Splatoon's release. In comparison to Top 5 WiiU Shipments in japan, Pikmin 3/SM3DW had about 160k-180k FW. Splatoon is 6th highest with at least 120k!

Due to Nintendo's strong push at marketing, I'm pretty sure numbers would exceed my initial expectations, which is great

I knew it was going to be the next Nintendo big thing since the first time it was announced

But I never knew the game would have so much hype and such a promising first week.

I don't think I predicted it incorrect.
My prediction was 225k first week and 2.5M LT.
My first week prediction seems to be too low (I'd guess 450k now), but I'd stick to my 2.5M LT prediction.
Maybe I am wrong about both though.
