seriously though, SNES as #1 is the only objective thing about the list. This can be argued and proven with facts.

For me, it would look something like this;

5: Sega Mega Drive
4: NES
3: Playstation
2: Nintendo 64
1: Playstation 2

really though, the wii might be a personal thing for me, and i can see people replacing it with PS2. i think a fair top 5 would include nintendo's first three consoles and sony's first two. SNES being at the top, and the remaining being in any order.

I don't classify the current three, only fair once they've had 4-5 years on the market. To me the top 3 will be hard to crack as those systems are very dear to me. If I had to guess the Wii U will finish between NES and N64, PS4 will be between PS1 and PS3 and X1 will be between 360 and Xbox. So, a solid, but not spectacular generation for all three companies.
