Forums - Nintendo - Metroid U made by Platinum games?

Would be really neat if they made it more like Okami and dropped the usual action. Not that I dislike their recent games, but they have potential to do other quality stuff. And their recent games aren't selling anywhere near as well as they should, it would make sense for them to change.

But a bayonetta-like metroid, for christ's sake no.

As long as they have the right guide-lines, it could turn out great.

A developer like that could never make a great game like Metroid.

Eh, Platinum is talented,  I can see them making a great Metroid game with emphasis in combat & shooting, that might ruin the atmosphere tho, and well, their games are known to be very linear, so that might have a negative impact in a Metroid game, but like I said, as long as they take Metroid elements into account while being creative enough with the license, I can see a great spin-off coming out of this, main-line tittle? Eh, not so much.

I'm now filled with determination.

I hope not. Also that's not a hint for a new Metroid but to a call to Nintendo fans to buy Bayonetta.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I wouldn't mind. To be honest they might bring something fresh to the series and Retro would probably be better served working on something new rather than a *fourth* Metroid game.

I hope Nintendo still is willing to work with Platinum even though neither or their previous games with Nintendo really sold that great.

They would ruin it. Why is everyone acting like Metroid is a stale franchise? Every Prime game brought something new to the table. Prime 2 is very different than Prime 1 and Prime 3 is also very different to Prime 1 and 2.

Most people don't like the games PG make. They're extremely overrated by a vocal minority.

Oh Samus, we all know that you didn´t like Bayonetta, but that doesn´t change the reality: is an awesome game and Platinum Games a great developer. Yes, I agree they are not the right choice to make Metroid because PG is action focused developer and that doesn´t fit well with Metroid (maybe with Star Fox). But just because you don´t like Bayonetta doesn´t mean anything more than "not your cup of tea", you have to learn the difference between "I don´t like it" and "Is a f*king shit", because everytime you don´t like something is the worst overrated shit in this world, and that is an extremely egocentric behaviour.

I feel weird everytime that I hear you saying that, because I´m part of that dumb vocal minority with no idea of videogames that loves Bayonetta, not only me, tons of wiiu owners around this forum, you only have to look Meta to see 80 critics giving the game a 9.1, but not only that, there´s 800 users giving the game an average of 90, at this point is when you have to ask yourself if you are right and everyone wrong or maybe, maaaybe, is not a game for you. And don´t use the bad sales as a excuse, because tons of great games have terrible sales and you know it.

Retro should do Metroid and give StarFox to PG like they've asked for. Kamiya wants StarFox badly! LOL Nintendo should also totally get PG to do another Viewtiful Joe game. That would be crazy!

It's a repetitive button masher with a very short campaign and horrible story. What's there to like about it? I can beat the game just mashing buttons and avoiding the easy attacks.

No idea how that game got 92% while many great games didn't. Lack of content all of a sudden isn't an issue with Bayonetta 2, but it is with Splatoon?

arnt they making someting big for xbox one atm anyway. The game everyone was hyped about at E3 last year

Platinum is big enough for two games at the same time. remember TW101 and bayonetta 2 developed simultaneously?
