100% agreed, it is a great score. Review scores were inflated and ruined in the 7th gen, we all forgot what they actually mean. When I was a young boy, most of the games we bought were considered mediocre by reviewers and any game that scored in the 80th or 90th percentile was considered amazing.

By the way, Nintendo already had its own share of criticism with paid DLC, in the case of Super Smash Bros (mii costumes? c´mon..), Mario Golf World Tour, Rusty´s Real Deal Baseball......
For me, Splatoon doesn´t seem like an unfinished product. Glad they´re having this approach and future expansions will be free

its not the same if nintendo promisses something or one of the big 3rd partys, we can trust nintendo, but we cant trust EA or ubi.
This is one of those games even if the reviews aren't must have territory its still good enough to justify a purchase for me as it looks so damn fun.

I remember when last gen some, like me, pointed how reviewers gave free points to HD games just for being HD. Those times has also changed for some users.

I remember the 7th gen as an overrated hell for old dogs like myself, so yes; agreed.
