Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which console have better games: PS Vita or Wii U? (only Retail)

No, it doesn't appear it was powerful enough. They released the New 3DS for that. ;)

4% is peanuts. When was the last time you played a game on 2 systems and went... Well it was definitely 4% better on this console than that one.

I think you take the specific percentages a bit too seriously.  You need to ballpark them more otherwise it will never make any sense. I mean according to Metacritic, DmC is 2% worse on PS4 and XBO, and also worse than the PC, PS3 and 360 versions. How do you quantify that?

Sleeping Dogs is 3% better on PS3 than it is on 360. But the enhanced XBO release is 8% worse than the PS3 version (and almost not considered a good game).

See how stupid this all suddenly sounds?

The reason why Vita games score so high is because no one but hardcore fansites pay them any attention.

An average of 9 reviews is statistically irrelevant. Way too low of a number to take the score serious. That's how statistics work, the more (reliable) data you collect, the more reliable your research will be.

If you think Vita games tend to score high, you really don't follow the reviews much. Most people who actually play the games feel most of the Vita catalogue is under-rated. Even 100% identical ports tend to score lower on Vita. Virtues Last Reward 4% higher on 3DS. Though that said, it did have 2x as many reviews as the 3DS version.

However you're right, Vita games don't get enough reviews, but that doesn't stop the games existing. So you're accepting that Metacritic isn't a valid way of evaluating the Vita software lineup. How very convenient a way to dismiss lots of great software in order to put Nintendo ahead.

One of many examples. According to metacritic this game is better than DKC: TF.

And yes, I've played the game in question, it's not a good game at all.

Asking this question here is like going to a Smash Bros convention and ask if somebody's up for some PABR.

Ha ha ha, great comment.

WiiU, of course, no doubt about it. The vita has no games.

It actually has more than 1,000 titles you can play on it ^-^'  (I think it has more games than the Wii U has)

And it does have exlusives you cant play on other consols/pc ect.

Wii U just has stronger brand characters for their games.

Eg. everyone knows who Mario is, and thus if you ask them if they know  what Super Mario world 3D, theyd say yes.

Ask them if they know what Danganronpa, is and most people would probably ask if it was a japanese cake or something :P

Tearaway isn't even an exclusive anymore since a better version is coming out on the ps4

But for that matter, neither Smash Bros is exclusive.

With the difference bring that Tearaway on the Vita will be inferior and that SSBU is far superior than the 3DS version.

Any most of that Nintendo stuff will be on a future Virtual Console. So I guess we might as well remove them from the discussion now as they're clearly won't always remain Wii U exclusive.

You sure have to be desperate if you have to spin it like that... Sure, it will be on Nintendo's VC but it won't until the wiiU is officially dead, yet with the Vita... Oh look, its getting ported with an enhanced edition in less than 2 years since its release

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Meh, not really a big deal in either direction. Honestly Smash 3DS and Smash Wii U are just different in graphical interface and controller interface.

It is, is a superior version with 50 differences. I can´t play  8 people battles at 1080p 60fps on my 3ds...

Tearaway unfolded is going to make the Vita version outdated and incomplete.
