Forums - Gaming - Ori and The Blind Forest is one of the best freaking games I have played in my ENTIRE LIFE

I don't see anything special about this game. Looks like a million other Indy platformers, mostly on iPad, that I wouldn't bother playing even if they were free. The characters are too small, the backgrounds are bland, the effects are overdone, the gameplay shallow. How this is hyped is beyond me.

Considering your posting history...

"According to Moon Studios' Thomas Mahler, Ori and the Blind Forest became profitable for Microsoft within one week of the game's launch on Xbox One and PC, and Gennadiy Korol, co-founder of Moon Studios, said the game was profitable for the studio itself within "a couple of weeks". Mahler described Microsoft as being "super-happy" with Ori and hinted that the franchise may see a future installment; he also stated that the Xbox 360 version of the game was still in development and was expected to launch later in the spring (Q2) of 2015."

It would have been a great game, if only I hadn't played Journey.

What does that have to do with how great the game is?

I am playing through if for the fourth time now.... yup, I like Ori :).

You really should play more games. Ori is a good game, but there are better. If you really like Ori, you should play more Nintendo games.

I play a lot of Nintendo games, and even considering those, Ori easily compares to them.

Maybe you're the one who should play more games. Because as great as Nintendo games are, they're not the only ones to make games of that quality.

That made my day.

And why is that?

You imply that he doesn't play enough games because he likes Ori the way he does. So, sorry, but I don't see your point here. Someone who plays a lot of games can't think Ori is one of the best games he's ever played? That's quite shallow and self-centered a view.

If there's supposed to be a joke somewhere in your comment, I didn't see it.
