I think it can outsell them due to longer legs mainly, if it gets bundles it will be even easier.

sure, because WiiU owner are starving for game and they don't have much choice of games to chose compare to other platform.

You can downplay it as much as you want, but it's not like there is a mass amount of options on the other platforms lol. I like Batman as much as the next guy, maybe more, but after playing the trial of Splatoon I would choose Splatoon because it's something new. Of course with that being said, I also enjoy new experiences like captain Toad and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Honestly, with having nearly 200 hours in Smash bros, I'm not sure I need much more lol. 

I'm far from starving for games. 

Scenario 1, 2014:

*The game is revealed*

"Is going to bomb so hard because Nintendo fanboys only buy Mario and Zelda. Bomba confirmed."

Scenario 2, first months of 2015:

*Nintendo fans are very interested*

"Is going to bomb so hard because it´s a kiddie shooter without voice chat, no marketing and no hype outside the harcore Nintendo fanboy".

Scenario 3, May 2015 A.D (after the demo):

*Hype increase, marketing increase, beasting on Japan and Amazon*

"Is going to be a major success because WiiU gamers have no more games to choose, so they need to play something."

If we look VGC numbers, 12 games above 900k without digital sales, almost every Nintendo bigger game.

I cant see Splatoon will sell less than 1m, its great game with very positive feedback from Demo and Nintendo is really pushing.
