I pre ordered the game on Xbox One already. The only reason im tempted to pirate it now is because i have to wait till the freaking 19th while pirates dont even have to pay for it and get the best version immediately, it sucks.

It's a shame, but the PC comunity is extremely toxic in itself with the "i'm leet and own a better machine than you" attitude. Owning one machine is stupid, because you devoid yourself of amazing experiences.

guys .. stop this nonsense discussion. this game isn't leaked. only the preload is leaked .. like any other preload. you can't play it at the moment. yes after the patch it will work, because this game is drm free, so you don't need a crack. the developers knew that right away, they believe in the goodwill of people. if someone buy it on gog.com he can give it to all his friend and everyone gets a "legit" version. imagine 500k-1mil gog buyer(or less I don't know) who willingly resist to upload a drm free game on the internet ... that's not happening.

Is tha Witcher 3, if so then what platform is that from? I'm guessing PC.

So basically... When PC games have DRM... Its considered bad but when PC games don't have DRM, its also bad? Cause that is what I am getting from some of the users in this thread.. You can't fight piracy without DRM but you can't "own" (vaguely) the game with DRM so make up ur minds on what you want to do...

I also don't get what's the big deal with this? The pirates can't actually play the game before launch because the .exe is not there. All this is, is a pre-load. What the pirates can do is play it at the sametime as everyone else which they couldn't do before because they had to wait for the hackers to crack the DRM before they could play it, that is the only advantage to this case... Every game gets a pre-load release on torrent sites before the games come out regardless of DRM, there is nothing new about that, the ONLY thing that is different in this case is that there isn't a drm for the hackers to crack so everyone, including the pirates, get to play the game on the sameday

It is very rare for a developer to not have DRM on PC and that is why I admire the devs of the witcher 3. If you bought the physical version of the game, there is no steam key or anything, it is a legit physical version which is very rare these days with PCs. I am pretty sure the PC version will sell more than a million on PC if not more than 2-3 million lifetime which the witcher 2 did* http://steamspy.com/app/20920

I see plenty in Youtube comments of console gamers claling themselves "godstation4 gamers" and the like, if you think it;s just a joke then so was the whole "PC master race", two wrongs don't make a right.

It's a shame that on here a PC community won't ever thrive or be welcome because we face people in this thread on a daily basis that are more than willing to take the time out of their day to spit on that part of the community and call them all filthy dirt scum pirates, the amount of toxicity in this thread alone feels more geniune than most youtube comments, most youtube comments spiral into fucks and shits or lolololol, here it;s actually more or less constructed in a way to deter people from actual dicussion which was why I was disgusted by it.

I'm not a one platform owner by any means (yet some people on here love to pin and label me as such just because I happen to use my PC more then they do) but there are some actual people on here that do limit themselves to one platform and are in this very thread. I find owning only one platform silly but I also find people ignoring PC and willing to come here and spit on it and the community even more silly.

It's even worse if you're a mobile gamer. People here are ridiculous and it's a big part of why I don't post here much anymore.

There's always Soundwave =P, but yeah I get what you mean, for a time I thought "it's just me, things will get better with time" and they didn't, for every good news there is for PC it;s downed by this type and this kind gets more focus, then there's good news for Xbox or Wii U and then 5 bad news articles follow, you get the picture. I don't think people like you and I should have th post less, really those being agressive need to wise up and realise that they put people off from joining in or wanting to dicuss, usually positive topics normally have good and legnthy dicussions, instead some people ride on that good news and decide it's better to drag others down which is what's been happening in here.

There are definitely some good and interesting people on this site but imo it's slowly not becoming worth it to interacting outside main threads as much anymore since the same acts keep happening over and over and I just don't want to come home from work and see this kind happening, it just isn't worth it.

So instead of trying to fully utilize what a PC, PS4 or XBone could do they instead basically went with what XBone could do and the rest just have to deal with it.

A real shame, even though the game still looks lovely.
