I hope the bring 7 and 8 out loved both of them

DQVII was released in the West on the PS1 but the remake still hasn't come out here so there is some unpredictability. But I do think that the 3DS version of DQVIII will make its way to the West.

So what I'm getting here is that DQXI will be a PS4 game, but if I can wait ten years and learn Japanese it will eventually find its way to a Nintendo handheld.

There's a reason 7 didn't get localized. 8 has a much higher chance of coming due to the fact the VA/script were in-tune to what modern DQ games are like. It was the first to truly... flesh out the series, you could say -script wise. Dragon Quest 7 lacks the colloquial dialogue and such that started with 8. In a way, DQ8 was like the Persona 3 of the DQ series. It brought it into full 3D, VA, colloquial dialogue, fully orchastrated music (NA/PAL versions), and was the first to release outside of Japan and America. 7 sold pretty bad in the west, is slow, and suffers from a few other problems. When they say they want the game translated, they want it up to stardards similar to 8, 9, and the remakes of 4, 5, and 6 with accents and such. So I believe 8 will definitely get here.

It better damn well come here. This is my favorite game. If SE fucks this up... I will kill a man. Or just important the game and a 3DS from Japan.

Yay! I remember thinking this would happen at some point, since every other mainline DQ game has appeared on a Nintendo handheld (excluding the MMO), but wondered what was taking so long. Glad to see it's happening finally.

Really hope this comes to the West...along with VII at some point.
