Well I just saw this ad on Nintendo Spain, I think it´s very cute.

Doesn't do much for people who don't know about the game. No gameplay at all is a strange decision, even if it is cute.

Something tells me this will get mom&dad stamp of approval.

=> parents give in and buy this game for their kids :)

Exactly what I thought. Also, Do all those designs mean that there is going to be a Yoshi pattern maker? That would be really neat for the game, just play all the levels with your custom Yoshi.

No, I don´t think so. There´s one pattern to unlock in every level if you collect the wonder wools, those are a lot of patterns :)

You know, I think this would have been far more effective during the holidays. This time of year, most console purchases are from a demographic that's old enough to buy for themselves.

Well, is Yoshi, is gonna be cute and kiddie no matter how, more if it´s done of Yarn. So they take advantege of one of it´s bigger market appeal, its cuteness. You don´t need to be a child to like Yoshi though, and if you like it that´s what you would expect, no way to make a bad ass ad with this game.

Bad ass?  No, I'm saying that this kind of game would be more effective as a hook for the Wii U during Christmas.  Capitalize on the fluffy feelings and obligations to spend money on children.

Though I would have liked a more colorful ad more.  I don't like the white background trend much and it's been overused besides.  That, and the actual backgrounds for this game are one of its biggest strengths.
