Opinions happened. There are two of those songs I find annoying, the others aren't bad. Still better than the Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack at least (even the songs here). 

Honestly even the weakest FFXIII music is better than most songs in the OP...

It's the ragdoll for people to hate on Boutros. Nier and FF13 are the best two examples I can think of when it comes to OSTs with vocals.

ok, can anybody link tracks from xcx ost that can be considered "good"? now that i've listened to the "bad" parts i'd like to listen to the "good" parts as well.

I've actually liked some of Hiroyuki Sawano's work in both Attack on Titan and Kill La Kill and, though not in favour of, I'm not diametrically opposed to vocals in OSTs; in fact, I thought Persona 4 had an amazing soundtrack. Even the rapping parts.

These though...

These, with the exception of the fifth one, are awful.

The whole thing seems devoid of any thematic connectedness.

I'm aware and I've heard more than just those. Some are great, others are not as is the case with any game. My particular issue however is with the frequency of the trash and the rarity, that I've experienced thusfar, in the great tracks.

The soundtrack has been extraordinarily erratic so far.

The vocals are terribad, I take music in videogames very serious. This alone is reason to not me want to buy a game. I mean I was on the fance with Skyrim and bought it cause of Dovakin...

XC is by ACE+ and Yoko Shimomura, Yoko is a genious this guy is tripping. She is the composer on XC and the Kingdom Heart series. Ye she uses violins a lot, so what ? They sound awesome and epic. They shouldve had her back on X instead of using bad techno rap guy who never composed for videogames.



you are really wrong here

first yoko only compose about 10% of xenoblade music , and the others are done by ACE+ and minyami kiyota plus one from mitsuda

second among those composer she compose the most weakest piece and mediocre at best , hell i take xeno x normal battle theme than xeno battle theme

i hate high pitched violin music because there no diversity on that music , same like KH , mana series , last ranker , radiant historia and mario rpg

if you want to hear epic listen to xenoblade x THEMEX and see if yoko can compose such a bombastic and epic like that

i played xenoblade chronicles not because i'm a jrpg fans but because ACE+ , first when i heard "they will know our names" that probably the best piece after nubuo battle theme piece and directly forcing me to play the game .
