Well, I didn't like basically anything ever since the penultimate dungeon was done. I didn't like how the story change, I didn't like the insane stuff Midna started doing (actually, part of the reason I dislike Twilight Princess is how Midna is so powerful and she becomes basically the main character, with Link as her companion, which is the opposite of what a Zelda game should be when it comes to the companion relationship), and I definitely didn't like the entirety of the final dungeon, being poorly paced, with annoying and non-inventive puzzles, and what not.

The final battles were terrible, too. I guess The Wind Waker and, to a lesser extent Majora's Mask, suffered from the same problem, but Twilight Princess took it to another level - the problem being, pointless battles. There's just so many boss battles crammed together at the end and it's so clear that they're completely pointless and the story events that supposedly explain them are such a blatant excuse to make for a "cool" ending with a crapload of bosses, and that bothers me A LOT. To put it clearly, my feeling at the end of TP, with each boss battle, was of complete pointlessness in the battles and the enemies I was facing - which is a stark contrast to, say, Skyward Sword, which despite having several bosses at the end too, made them all feel believable and important to what was happening.

If anything, Twilight Princess was the first and still is the only time I've been disappointed by a Zelda ending.

To be honest, I really don't remember anything else other than the final boss fights from the ending sequence (and of course the last scenes with Midna).

But yeah, I do remember there being an excessive amount of boss battles at the end, easily more so than Wind Waker or Majora's Mask, and I didn't find them to be particularly creative or memorable either. While I did have a problem with the repetition of the battles in Skyward Sword, everything at least made sense in context of the story and, like you said, they felt impactful.

I think it was really generated to make the ending more climactic, but it just tried -too- hard in my opinion.

About time

I really don't remember almost anything about TP plot. But, weirdly, I find myself remembering some places and puzzles, even if now it's mirrored for me. So, I'm in the third dungeon and really enjoying it, more than 10 years ago. Free cam, the gamepad use and the lack of some annoyances (bloody rupees), and the best visuals make a better general experience.

I gotta admit, finding Zelda TP to be very boring so far. Hard to keep my interest in the game when I play.

It's one of those that just keeps getting better and better the longer you go.

Before the first dungeon, it sucks hard. Between the first one and the second one it's already a bit more tolerable, but still meh. Between the second one and third one it really starts to make you care, between the third and fourth it starts to shine, and after the fourth it just explodes.

Sadly, after the entire amazement of the second half of the game, I found the ending itself to be very disappointing, but I know I'm alone on that feeling - everyone else thinks the ending was fine.

I remember playing it initially not being impressed and put it aside for a lonnng while..

Picked it up afterwards and did enjoy it a lot

"My butt is a beautiful place, so take the time to explore every corner"

Priceless.

On another news, Jim Sterling gave TPHD a 8.8. Yes, that infamous GS score which turned for a moment Zelda fans into something kind of embarassing in Gamespot. Master of trolls xDDDD.

It seems The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth is coming to the WiiU after all. Didn't the developer have a long rant about how the WiiU was not powerful enough to get it?
