Not sure why Nintendolife, etc, thought that Club Nintendo would close on midnight, but it is still alive and kicking today 30th like they've always said... scaring peeps to F5 the website.

Those sites were just reminding people of the tweet, saying it would close tomorrow, but not at a specific time ;)

But once it hits October 1st, it would be down for sure

Guess they where covering their asses and assumed the worst case scenario, which happens a lot with VG media.

Yes, the website has some problems, don't worry, keep refreshing and you'll eventualy get to the page...

It's been a pain to get the site working long enough to cash in the rest of my stars, but eventually it worked. But only with constant refreshing.

I spent my last points a week ago. The site always crashed when something new appeared, so no wonder it's crashing now that everyone is spending their points.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

By the way, what happened to Langrisser: Re:Incarnation Tensei? I know it released in Japan already. Did it do good, did it flop?

I don't think that there will be a Wii U price cut. They almost gave it up to expand the install base, it's about minimizing losses. But they could do better bundles like the NES Super Set in Europe at the end of its life. Something like Splatoon, MK8 and Smash on one Disk and an additional Pro Controller.

Bye bye Club Nintendo, it's your last day.

18 Februari 2004, Super Mario Sunshine, is what is says when I look at my very first entry. Such a long time ago. Over 11 years, and a lot has happened since. I remember back then Club Nintendo would give you 5 Stars each day you logged on to the site. At christmas 2004, we'd get two special desktop images for free. The first 'treasure' I purchased was the Zelda Collector's Edition for Gamecube, for the price of 4000 Stars.

After that though, I went on a sort of Nintendo hiatus, only returning to Club Nintendo in 2008. A shame, because many games for both Gamecube and Gameboy Advance had their Stars left, unused. With the Wii and DS, I managed to get together the 7500 Stars for a cool Super Mario diarama, which I have promently displayed. To save some 2000 Stars from oblivion, I got a Wii Points card after they introduced the policy of expirable Stars. Still, going into the 3DS era, I had enough Stars to get a Zelda pouch, and some digital games.

29 September 2015, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. I got it just in time. I was there from the early beginnings, when it was still called 'VIP 24:7' and I'll be there for the new reward service. I hope it will last another 13 years, here's to Club Nintendo!

Mario Maker surpasses 1 million in sales.

Smash update is alright.

Pirate Ship from Brawl was one of my favs, so I'm glad it's back.

I find it weird that the Duck Hunt was added to 3DS, I hope this means we can see 3DS stages on Wii U.

Some character changes are weird.

I think Luigi got nerfed, which is a good thing, but Marth's shield breaker got nerfed... :c

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
