Forums - Gaming - The Witcher 3 Exceeds 1 Million Pre-orders

Yeah, it will be, but more because they are barely doing a thing to actually market it than because of anything else

I feel they didn't really put much effort into it since the first advert they showed on YT of being able to pre order and get all that good kit, after that I've seen nothing, not including that YT vid that showed PC footage and just today I got an email from ubisoft claiming that if I pre-order W3 I'll get a "free" ubi game from their listings lol, I feel Ubi is pushing it a bit since it means I'll have to use Uplay for both the game and the free game, I'd rather grab it from GoG tbh.

I do wish MS would actually put some effort into marketing though, at least for the deals they have because if they don't push marketing of any sort they won't improve their overall image, I know the results of this gen have already proven there's no real point in trying to surpas but it's still better for them to at least try, it happened for Sony last gen, same could happen for MS if they at least try.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I hope it sells at least some 5 million.

Seems like The Witcher is shaping up to be the Battlefield next to the Call of Duty that is Elder Scrolls... so to speak.

Its not about them doing addons (DLC) but them being hypocritical and virtuecrats, they came out with open letter how they despise DLC and promising how the DLC will be free in witcher 3 just to announce months latter their plans fot these so called ''expansions'' who will cost 25€

http://thewitcher.com/news/view/867

Some might ask that the free DLC was just a sheme to win some popularity contest. So if Batman calls its 40€ DLC: expasion pack the next day its okay?

Oh no....30 extra hours of content and a new region to explore for 25 euros. What a fucking rip off. Those bastards

You have no real proof yet if it would be really 30h content, and what kind of content?

You have no proof it is anything less

And if you're asking me what kind of content it is then I suggest you go actually read the description

A ratio between PC, PS4 and X1 would be nice, but all that really matters to me is they make profit so they can continue to make more Witcher games.

I think a profit is pretty much guaranteed. They work at much more reasonable budgets than many AAA game developers.

This seems so impossible because of the size and of course what looks like great quality. I am sure sure shika knows the facts.

The downplay is so real and alive it's cringeworthy.

But seriously I;m thinking it;s going towards 5-6 million at most.
