So here's my question: If NX isn't a replacement for the 3DS or Wii U, what the heck is it? Handheld, home console? If it's either of those things, wouldn't it be a replacement? This just sounds like PR speak to me...

It is not a replacement it's a successor to most likely the 3DS and it's just not the time for it to be shown

E3 2016 they will show and then release in november the same year

I'm quite sad to see that Nintendo has to reiterate this, again.

Nintendo only talked about NX during the DeNA partnership to make it clear that they weren't quiting from the console market and they make it very clear that they wouldn't reveal anything until at least 2016.

So if any of you guys are disappointed or surprised by this, it's your own problem for believing without questioning what some forum members or "journalists" have said or guessed without having a single fact to prove their words.

2016 showing, hopefully they plan to return to the actual stage, and release either next year, or that same year.
