Forums - Sony - I just added another 2 years to my PS+ subscription

PS+ is...

... a ripoff 11 9.24%

... extorting money for multiplayer 27 22.69%

... less better than other stuff 9 7.56%

Why can't I hold all these games? 72 60.50%

Total:119

Man, the online storage thing saved my ass a few times when my HDD crapped out like nobody's business. Also, helpful in getting that Bloodborne platinum without playing the game 3 times.

I still wont use it until the huge multiplayer games arive for me, Tekken 7.
i think its a ripp off, you can go to amazon and buy a lot of ps3 games used for 3-10 bucks. Those have better value than the few old ps3 games and indies they are giving you.
But yeah sony do what you have to do to make money again, go and take the money from these call of duty players they deserve your service :)

If 24-36 games a year for £40, plus playing online and discounts and exclusive content for free like Powers etc is a rip off then I'm not quite sure what a good deal is..

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I've got an insane backlog of these free games I still download them every month and I know one of these days I'm going to have an insane weekend.

You know I thought the exact same way, I was waiting for a worthy online game to get PS Plus.  But I jumped the gun last month and extremely glad I did.  The free games (granted its only free if you stay a member) were alot of fun.

Sure I can buy cheap games on Amazon but never in a million years would I have even thought about buying games like Valiant Hearts and Never Alone but boy it ever opened my eyes and wished I was a member alot sooner knowing that I've probably missed out on countless free hidden gems.  Currently playing Killzone Mercenary on PSTV and it's one of the best FPS i've played in awhile/in the series.

You say a used game is $3-10 so that will get you around 5-15 games in the price of a PS Plus year membership where each month PS Plus gives me 6 games making it 72 games a year (granted you get the most if you have PS4/PS3/PS Vita).  Of course im sure a bunch of them wont appeal to you and I but of the 72 games a year im sure there's enough free games that you'll enjoy.  Incase you're a person that likes to own physical copies of games, Im also person that likes to own physical copies of the games so any games I actually like that's free on PS Plus (and has a physical copy) i'll likely buy when its cheap.

Of course this is just my opinion, but I hope when the day you get PS Plus you'll see the amazing features it offers rather than just a membership fee to play online games.

Off topic side note: I love the PS4 feature that you can just add the free games to your library instantly without downloading it so you can still download it anytime after the game is taken off PS Plus.  I wish the PS3 & PS Vita had that feature.

It's lasting until December 2017 now. Been a subscriber since they've decided to throw free games at me left and right.

Can you beat my duration?

Nope, can't compete with that duration.

I'm satisfied though that I manipulated my extensions so that I now need to extend at the beginning of every new year and I don't risk forgetting it or being unsure when it ends

Only problem I've ever had with PS+ is not keeping track anymore with the free games because I lack the time to play them all.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

The one thing that's really keeping me invested in PS+ is the variety. Sure, it's not all AAA stuff, especially on the PS4, but I've already played a lot of stuff I honestly would not have spent money on...and loved it. If better stuff is on its way...all the better. If it keeps as it is, it's decent as well.

That's the good point about it. If I'm interested in AAA games I will buy them at launch. I don't need PS+ for that. Indies however rarely entice me enough to put down my money so it's nice that PS+ is givng me these to broaden my horizon.

Having a blast with unfinished swan which I wanted to try since I first heard of it a few years ago but could never be actually bothered to buy it.

i like ps+ offering indie stuff.  by the time AAA hits ps+ the game as been out for at least 2 years and is priced at no more than $20.  by then if i didn't already buy it i don't want it.

indies, however, are free on launch day a lot.  i've been given a lot of game i was going to buy day 1 and THAT has saved me a ton of money.

I'm good until 2019, bought a few years when the prices were cheap (less than 30 € per year).
