Forums - Gaming - why is it that the overwhelming majority of games on PS4/X1 presented like movies?

Anyway, to answer the thread topic. Today gamers are more in tune with review sites. So the purpose of a trailer is to get your attention so that you can look the game up. Back in the day, the trailer acted as a main source of information about the game and how it would play.

yes, buying a game based on a video that is trying to sell it to you might not be the best idea XD

it's always best to judge it from the poll of knowledge you already have about the company and previous games you've enjoyed from them, although that probably only applies to gamers like us on the forums and such

Well we buy too many games and get hyped by anything about games we care. A simple gif from medievil got us all worked out.

 

But for Mass Market the eye candy is all, so in a way they deserve to be cheated.
