Highly unlikely that digital is more than 10%.

Nintendo has stated that their digital sales exceed 10%  of total software and that Japanese make up a third of all digital sales. Digital sales for first party games sit at around 13%. This game was pushed hard digitally and Nintendo already said its digital sales were high. So over 10% is definitely not "highly" unlikely. (source: below)

The numbers that Famitsu provides every month show that very few Nintendo titles go over 10%. It should never be an assumption that digital sales are high unless there are circumstances that would make it so (ie. out of stock, significant discounts for digital, etc).

3DS 26.976
Vita 15.613

*3DS is dead*

Using Dengeki numbers... xD

Use Media Create or Famitsu as hardware tracker, they are much better!
Media Create:
3DS: 25,948
Vita: 18,435

Famitsu:

3DS: 27,210
Vita: 18,163

Edit: And don't forget that 3DS had a big game this week and Vita not!

Dont forget Vita has had 5-8x more games released this year already and 3ds has already an 18.5mil+ install base

Yes, 3DS has a big install base.
But New 3DS is something like 2M right now, isn't it?

Yes but what does that have to do with anything? N3ds is an upgrade, not a new HH. And its already at Halfway mark of the vita's userbase with only 7months of release.

Anywayz point is, shouldnt expect more of 3ds when in fact nothing even comes close to it in HW sales over the years. Its still hovering and is mostly 1st if not 2nd (when ps4 was dominating) without many releases at all. It had only like 3 major releases with 15-20 small releases, vs Vita that had 2-3 major releases and 100+ smaller releases. :o

PS Vita did 18.5k and PS4 did 19.8k. Good numbers, expected this numbers!
Wii U only 22.9k? This is bad considering how big Xenoblade X should be in Japan. Xenoblade also hasn't managed 90k... Anyway, this will be the last week in Japan for Wii U where it have beaten PS4 in it's life.

Xenoblade is not big in Japan and has never been.

Actually that is a good point, many of us were hoping for 100k+ (me with my optimistic head was thinking ALOT More) but overall it isnt a huge franchise. It was way more hyped obviously than original XC, but its balanced out with the userbase disadvantage imo.

Also dont get why people (well a select few) think XCX did bad considering it is about the same as XC launch.

Also if the digital sales are around 10% with this one, is closer to the 100k than it seems, maybe 7/5k off. I hope Nintendo give us some information about it.

I know, I´m not expecting more than 10k, but that would be 96k, pretty close to the 100k some of us were predicting.

How accurate are Famitsu's digital numbers though? I mean they say Super Smash Bros 3DS only sold about 6% digitally in Japan, but the rates are much higher than that in other regions (about three times as much.) Considering Nintendo's other statistic of 30% of total digital sales being Japanese I just can't see how this adds up, unless there are a lot more exclusively Japanese games that sell digitally. If 10% of sales worldwide are digital, on average though, that would mean if a game sells 200k worldwide it must sell 20k digital. However, let's say the game sold 50k in Japan 60k in Europe and 90k in NA. With Japanese digital sales at .3*20k = 6k. 6k/50k = 12% digital sales. It just doesn't seem likely to me that Nintendo can report that 30% of their digital sales are Japanese, but Famitsu reports Japanese digital sale rates half or even a third that of European and North-American numbers.

After searching futher:

"So, we should consider this numbers as the minimum digital sales, instead of a total sales."
