Forums - Nintendo - Splatoon Global Testfire (Demo)! Post Your Impressions! <(^o^<)

I had a great time last night, I will probably get on for the Saturday afternoon session as well. Not to many issues for a Beta run. Looking forward to it.

So I decided to disable motion controls this time around, and now I felt like I had better control overall.

As of now, my favorite weapons are the Splattershot Jr. and the Splat Roller.

Not sure if I can play the next Global Testfire, but this game is most likely day 1 for me!

Which arena? The smaller one is pretty easy to win with three rollers.

Weaponbalancing is not good right now and depends heavily on the arena.

It can be really chaotic.

It was fun. But overall the MP felt more like a perfect fit being played occasionally for not to long time frames. Definitely isn't a revolution.

You mean Walleye Warehouse, where my last game took place?

Yes, i didn't know the english names. But that's it.

Right now i think i'll wait and see how singleplayer and local MP turn out to be.

With all my criticism. it really is fun though.

Just reposting from closed thread:
Was doing great today. Controls are perfect! I did not perceive any lag or other issues.

man I missed the second round too!! it says on the page that the next round will be on 20.00-21.00 so I'm wondering, does the page convert the time to the country time or not as there is no time thingy (PST or whatever)

oh theres is in the blue spots :P

What page? Regardless there's a countdown in thread title and times are in OP.

Indeed, it all depends on how good your opponents are. Three rollers on your team, but the other guys aren't complete idiots? Your rollers get killed over and over again and your team gets pushed back, making it increasingly harder to swarm out of the base.

But if you have three rollers and the other team just minds their own business, then they'll soon be backed against a corner because they won't be able to win the ground back.

Unless you have me of course! In the aforementioned game we did start off losing, but then I started focusing on the center, which was also when I went into beast mode! Thanks to the map I was simply on top of the enemy's every move, avoiding the constant waves of Rollers and picking off the ones trying to sneak around from the sides, all in quick succession thanks to the speedy Squid form! Man that battle was just so intense and so well played on my part even I have to admit! If only there was a MKTV-like feature!

was a part of both tests so far.. game is very fun but man my last matched was some bs teammates did nothing smh

A single non-contributing team member really drags the whole team down and makes it near impossible to win. One match I dominated the enemy team near their spawn point, holding them off for most of the match, but they still won by a nose because one team member racked up a whopping 0 points.

The demo could have been done better, with a countdown for the next round instead of giving you an error.
It's weird they don't let us try the tutorial map whenever we want, it was ok, just felt I was wasting my hour.
The intermediate waiting mini-game was lame, not sure I'm that bothered they are behind the amiibo dlc.

Was able to try all four weapons but while changing between them I'd get some connection errors...
Had more fun with the guns although I got more points with the roller, I was all over the place regarding points, jejeje.
Initially I stupidly didn't know how to lay the roll and only half way through the hour I noticed the specials xD

I was a bit let down we didn't have wiimote controls, but the gyro controls seemed like a competent substitute.
Looks like I won't cancel my pre-order.

On which page does it say that? If your VGC profile isn't a lie, then you live in Sweden; that puts the next session at 21:00-22:00. Safest way to check the time is to access the eShop on your Wii U and read the Splatoon banner.

the Splatoon page that links from the demo after you get an error but the e-shop way is the way to go. Thanks for that one!

You too @Delphin
