So there should be atleast a few games of each genre for even the most picky of people.

Aslong as its still getting new game releases the vita isnt really dead.

Wii U has marketing ? thats news to me..

So let me get this straight.

Sony does not develop games for vita, but Japanese developers and Western developers do, hence the sales being higher than wiiU, but it's dead.

Ninty supports its console with 1st party games, but 3rd party support on WiiU feels non-existant, hence the worse sales than vita, but WiiU is not dead.

I don't get this logic. They're either equally dead or equally alive. The point is that an equal number of people are getting games they like and buy a console for. Whether it's first or 3rd party is irrelevant. Also keep in mind that support from a company is not only in terms of 1st party games but also deals with 3rd parties, like Sony and Capcom with the latest Resident Evil game.

It won't outsell it during the holiday period.

Vita is cheaper and it includes PS TV sales (which isn't even a handheld and is even cheaper than the Vita).

In the end, the Wii U will be remembered for its great first party line-up while no one will remember the Vita all that fondly. Most of its games are available on other platforms, the rest is too niche.

As for which console is the biggest commercial failure? Again, the Vita, just look at its list of million sellers lol. I don't think anyone expects the Vita to get a succesor, the Wii U will get one.

The Vita's legacy will be that of the Gamegear.

And the Wii U gets marketing? That's news to me. I've never seen a Wii U ad.

Both consoles are doing poorly, If we're involving love in this, though I think the WII us selling less due to the fact  Nintendo doesn't do enough PDA with the Wii U. Sure it may be getting new software but are those games being even advertised? ( That's a rhetorical question, they aren't )

The Vita is probably the one console that I feel truly deserved better. The Dreamcast is a close second but man... The prowress of the Vita hardware and its physical construction(OLED screen, two REAL analog sticks, not nubs like the N3DS). I keep hoping for a comeback but it's not going to happen...

Here's the thing. In this last months, the Vits has been able to compete with the 3DS in Japan (solid 3rd party support and the PS4 helps). WiiU is more solid in general worldwide, but the latest japanese push for the Vita has helped the handheld more.

Also, unrelated thing. Vita has Minecraft and e WiiU doesn't. Is Microsoft afraid of a Nintendo system with Minecraft to compete for the "first console for my kid"' market?
