Conference wars? E3, TGS , paris gameshow and playstation experience, you want more?

Hey I dont make the rules. Fans like to see who "wins" the main 3 conferences: E3, gamescom, and TGS.

Wait, wat? You've several times made up your own rules. You made up rules for what constitutes an AAA game.

not sure what to make of this i suppose. the note about this falling on the same day as halo 5 is pretty relevant,.. obviously sony wants to steal their thunder and a price cut announcement would be good for that.

in the broader picture i like the move. having a conference in June and then another in August is pretty close to each other. much like games themselves,.. i like having announcements peppered throughout the year instead of all at once.

imagine this scenario,.. as a rule E3 announces games landing in the following Q4 and Q1 while this paris thing announces games landing in Q2 and Q3. no more waiting years for releases!! every announcement is 3 to 9 months away which is, imo, the perfect amount of pre-release self hyping time.

More like a general consencus from the gaming meta. Offcourse this can't possibly cover 100% of gamers, especially ones that just love to question things and have their own unique opinions.

Your telling me fans don't compare who has the best conference at those 3 conferences?

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Between the ever stinging dig at MS from E3 2013, and the slight corporate PR potshots they have taken, they really know how to hold a grudge.....

Like, they can't even let MS have their day in the sun with Halo 5. tsk tsk

Oh, they do, even if it's pretty (completely) pointless, they do.  The only time I can remember when a conference win actually meant something was Sony's E3 in 2013.

If I'd compare announcements then I'd personally rather compare years instead of conferences, cause Sony has more conferences per year, while Nintendo has their directs every couple months, MS only has E3 and to a certain degree Gamescom. Plus there's also announcements inbetween for all 3, Star Ocean 5 and Final Fantasy Dissidia PS4 come to mind for this year.

Yeah, the PR firm they've hired this gen (I'm assuming this is not all Sony's idea) is pushing for digs at the competition quite often, they could ease up on that sometimes.

*flips table*

ugh...I get it but loved the the timing of it all; you Had E3 then gamescom then TGS all in the summer...good tmes, October seems too close to the Holiday season to have any impact or building of any hype unless it's for the PSX if that becomes a yearly thing

wtf is paris games week?

Attendance will probably be down at Gamescom now that Sony is skipping it.

That might mean there will be a PS Experience 2015.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.
