Well it's also alot better than Driveclub.

Driveclub isn't a sim

Nore is Project CARS... people calling this game a sim are misinformed. It's a game like Gran Turismo, a "realistic" arcade racer!

As some have called it in here, "semi-sim" fits well!

So best 8th gen (semi) racing sim so far then.

Project Cars is a racing sim. Not a semi racing sim. It goes against Gran Turismo and Forza, not Driveclub or Forza Horizon.

Project CARS is certainly not a sim. It is definitly a semi-sim. The fact that you pit it against GT & Forza further proves my point, since GT is a semi-sim & Forza a quarter-sim.

Play rFactor 2, iRacing or Richard Burns Rally, ( Assetto Corsa is a good sim too) then you'll know what a racing sim is!

GamesRadar:

There are two important questions that I feel I need to address. Firstly, as I know you're wondering: is it actually fun? Answer: hell, yes. Secondly: Will everyone find it fun? Answer: hell, no. You need a certain mindset to get the most out of Project CARS. You need patience, discipline, knowledge of racing theory or at the very least a willingness to learn.

Personally, I love that approach. And the game is undoubtedly made for people like me. It is a landmark for racing sims. Whereas Gran Turismo 6 managed to fool my brain for a few seconds into thinking I was looking at reality, this has entire minutes of perfection where I simply can't believe my eyes. If only it were a little more polished and consistently awesome, it would be a classic.

This game was reviewed on Xbox One.

There is the evidence that GamesRadar has no clue to what is a racing sim, calling Project CARS a racing sim & worst a "landmark for racing sims" is just plain ignorance, which turns into incompetence when you are running a gaming website & are supposed to know what you are talking about!

But then again, the next sentence sheds an uncompromising light to the caliber of person working, writting  & reviewing at GamesRadar & what criteria are taken into account when labeling a game: they can tell you if the game is a sim or not (good or bad) just by judging the graphics quality, so there you go, a racing game by GamesRadar standarts is considered a simulator if the graphics a realistic!!!! :O

Richard Burns Rally & its physics say hello GamesRadar... what a shame...

Go tell that to ISR.

Just because there are games doing it better doesn't make them something else.

I'll tell anyone the evidence: Project CARS is not a racing sim, it looks like it but when you drive it it's nothing more than a polished NFS Shift, there's still a long way for Project CARS to handle like a proper racing sim, nothing to do with  how the game is doing, Richard Burns Rally had bad reviews (from people who are not into sim racing, some even wrote that the driving gameplay was broken...) & certainly did not sell well. rFactor 1 & 2 are not sales monsters either, but both are proper sims!

If you say so.

You better believe it, but don't take my word for it & go to racing sim site/forums & learn about racing simulation ;P

I mentioned Inside Sim Racing. They specialize in sim racing games and peripherals reviews.  But you don't seem to have picked it up.

I have no desire to argue this with you anyway. So please don't bother to put more spin on this.
