IGA is a legend among legends

He's not. Check out some of the games he made on Wiki...

People will ignore the bad games and continue praising him for his good ones.

That being said, I donated $100.  I feel he wants to make a name for himself again, plus it's the first side scrolling exploration console game he's been a part of since SotN.  I was paying for a physical copy regardless, but If it happens to be a great game, for $40 more I'll have my name immortalized in a game I like.

Seems most people feel you can't say anything bad about devs who've developed good games.  I don't have that problem.  IGA is the reason we got Dracula X Chronicles and that's one of my favorite games of all time.  Doesn't stop me from calling out all the pos titles he's released, games like Curse of Darkness, Nano Breaker, Harmony of Despair, Judgment, Order of Shadows, etc.

Wow this is crazy. Love me some 2D castlevania that is actually good.

They need to add in online coop next as a stretch goal. Couch coop is cool and all but once you've got work and have moved away from friends, online coop is the only way to do coop.

EDIT: Sorry, misread. =P

The kickstarter is only one day old and has 31 more days to go. I'm sure they'll have that as a sretch goal down the line. It would also be nice if they'd add a Wii U version at some point. I can understand not including it right away considering the architecture differences between x86 (PC, PS4 and XBO) and PPC (Wii U) which would require two different teams, which would be unrealistic for such a small team.

But if their budget gets higher and higher, I expect them to include Wii U gamers in the mix. I'm sure the console can handle that type of games quite well, even at 1080p.

Good. Been waiting for IGA to make his comeback for a while now. Buying it.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Yeah you've pretty much nailed it. Although I'd be looking into the PS4 version, I think actually that Wii U might even do better than Xbone. The Nintendo fanbase should be very welcoming of 2D Metroidvania type games. I mean Castlevania was born on Nintendo systems. It's just unfortunate the Wii U is harder to port to. Plus I hear the Unreal Engine 4 does not natively support the Wii U. So yes for a small team porting this game might prove a challenge considering they need to finish it first, which in itself is tough.

lol I'm calling them lickstarters from now on.

"Igavania-style games".  Is that a joke or is this guy delusional?  I mean I adored symphonies of the night as much as anyone, but come on, he's been trying to recapture the magic of that game again for nearly twenty years and hasn't come close.

Aand the local co-op one was just passed... o: Can`t wait to see the next stretch goals x )

Edit: Nevermind, I misread it. Though it doesn`t seem long til it does.

I kicked in. Sorta didn't want to without seeing even rough footage first, but....yeah. So glad console ports weren't fricking stretch goals.

Wii U at the basement of the castle? ;

No where in sight yet.

Also this illustrates why nintendo has so little 3rd party games.

You cant even use the same game engines to make the game on all 3 consols, for the Wii U version you have to basically remake the intire game in a new engine.

I hope nintendos next consol is x86+amd gpu now, so all 3 consols match up and are easy to develope for.
