Fuck. That.

We all know the story ok Sony? Guy gets bit, uncle dies, great responsibility, blablabla, girl next door, awkward staring scenes, blablabla, some dude uses himself in a bad science experiment and becomes crazy, fight, kissing, the end.

Fast forward and jump right into some fresh material huh?

The actual article says that they won't be doing the origin story over again.

Sorry, this is old news. The partnership between Marvel/Sony was announced in February.

Movie reboots rarely turn out well in my experience. The first Spider-Man reboot was awful compared to the original Raimi trilogy imo. Not holding out much hope that the 2nd reboot will be any better.

While I agree that Sam Raimi's trilogy is miles ahead of the ill-paced Marc Webb duology, I think Spiderman will do more than ok this time around. Just the fact Spiderman is going to be part of the MCU is going to shoot this franchise through the roof at the box office and the best way to do this is to produce the best possible product they can. Obviously movie studios are always trying to make the best product but they aren't willing to finance a product unless there is less risk, and now that Spiderman is part of the MCU chances are Peter Parker will be pleasing the fans as well as making a $Billion for each movie at the box office.

I am actually looking forward to it.

I've enjoyed both series so far, and I'm interested in what they will do with this new one.

"So what do you all think about this news?"

Sony doesn't know what the hell they're doing with Spider Man anymore, and need to just stop making movies. Nothing will ever be as good as Spectacular. They should just make an animated film series of that. Remember when people used to pay movie theaters watch cartoons?

Sony knows what they are doing, they have the rights for spider man. Movies these days in general are horrible, i havent watched a movie for 2 years now or so.

I honestly think whats best for this franchise for Sony to finally give it back to Marvel completely.

No

Marvel has confirmed on multiple occasions that their Spiderman won't be an origin story. Kevin Feige stated that at this point everyone already knows how Peter Parker becomes Spiderman.
