Last year 2014, looks like PS4 did around 4.8 million units in the US.

Not sure how much a 50$ or 100$ price cut will increase sales but.... in 2015 the US sales should be higher than the 2014 sales of ~4.8million units.

Can you please say more than just "Hmmm" because I don't understand what you're trying to say. 
In case you were confused, the title says PS4 2015 (United States) versus 3DS 2012 (Japan)
The numbers for the PS4 comes from NPD (more accurate than VGC numbers, and VGC numbers tend to be adjusted to NPD)
The numbers for the 3DS comes from Media Create (Sales tracker for Japan, one of the big ones)

Was looking at total sales for all consols.

When I looked at only PS4 sales in 2014, and only in the US, it came out around 4.8 million units sold.

This year with a price cut for the ps4, the sales should be higher than last years 4.8million.

More than 4.8million units is a given.

Higher than 5.5million units of the 3DS 2012 sales in japan.... not sure.

Hopefully a 100$ price cut can help it more a additional 700k units or so.
