Forums - Gaming - Kingdom Come: Deliverance Aims for 900p/30fps on PS4 and Xbox One

Welcome to the Realm of Video Games

The highly anticipated RPG  Kingdom Come: Deliverance using CryEngine and developed by Warhorse studios has looked incredibly beautiful since its first reveal.  While some can find similarities between Kingdom Come and Bethesda’s popular Skyrim it doesn’t feature any magic or monster, but instead focuses on historical fiction

Because the high bar of graphical power behind Kingdom Come the question has remained, “How will this look on consoles compared to PC” which seems to be the main focus with timed exclusivity.  Jiří Rýdl had this to say, and even mentions they will be working with Crytek for higher performance which is known for their graphical achievements

"On consoles we aim for 900p/30fps for now. We will work on the optimization in close cooperation with Crytek and aim for 1080/30fps or even higher later in the development.”

At least 900p even on PS4 this time. xD

I look foward to seeing more on it when the release is closer.

Expect another shitstorm if this releases at 900p on PS4. (Though I doubt it will)

Interesting that it uses CryEngine, seems like not many games do, despite the impressive results it has produced in games like Ryse and Crysis 3.

So it's rpg without fantasy and dragon, yup i like history and medieval era history.

a good part of the staff came from Crytek when the studio formed, so they naturally went for what they were used to

The Ps4 can probably easily handle the game at 1080P/30fps and so can the Xbox One though it does require more work to do so. I can see the developers of Kingdom Hearts 3 holding the game back on ps4 because of parity issues.

He is right. The castles in the game are even from Disney world!

Could be the next reason to upgrade my GPU.
