I will jump into the "Neither will happen" bandwagon.

The maximum I can see the PS3 reaching is 95m (and I think that is a stretch) 

And about the Wii U, well..  I was counting with a price cut (and Zelda) to push its sales. But after Zelda's delay, and after seeing how Nintendo is dead on set on maximum hardware profit; I highly doubt that the system is ever gonna reach the 25m.

The reason there were some sort of belief that ps3 will surpass the 100m mark was because ps2 managed to sell around 50m once last gen started. It's obvious that ps3 doesn't have the same legs even if it still selling after ps4 being on the market for 1 year and half. PS3 isn't the ps2. For Wii U, the next console will come soon enough to kill it before reaching that number. In other words, neither will happen.
